It's all about the plan. At times, I plan to depart on the minute and other times, I get the chance to be more leisurely about it. It also has a lot to do with when the 10 starts. If you have the luxury of always sleeping at night, super. My plans don't always work like that.

Well I left the house a couple of days ago on a load from Mt Carmel, Va to Jacksonville, Fl. It was 240 dead head and 650 loaded. I get there with plenty of time and it takes a good 7 hours to get loaded. Well I get loaded and head to the scales. I am 78,300 lbs with fuel and still have a bunch of mountain / hills to get throught til I get down to I-95. I went that way to avoid most of the mountains and to stop and eat lunch with the wifey. I love the freedom of routing myself. Well I am stopped about 50 miles away from the drop in the morning and I have a preplan to pickup from the same location in the afternoon to head to Arlington, Tx. 1000 miles. Well today running 65-66mph with the hills and 78,300 lbs I managed to get 8.4mpg.
I wish I knew how to post the attachment but I sent it to Sharpp so hopefully he will post it for me. Thats a quick update on me so yall have a good night.

Soule_Man Nice To hear from you glad you got time to stop in at home! Sounds like they are going to get a good one out of Texas going to a good location! the MPG is good! Stay Safe! Take Care!

Hey all! I finally have some time and internet to be able to write up a real post. I delivered my Nebraska load in Oakland Tuesday morning, then headed down to San Leandro to drop/hook a load of cookie dough going to Centralia, WA. Total of 736 miles on that trip, so my string of 1,400 mile plus trips comes to an end.
Yesterday I was cruising thru the Oregon rain and was about 45 minutes short of Roseburg for a planned shower and a 30 when the QC squawked with a preplan from WA to TN. Thirty minutes later I got a second preplan (the first one may have cancelled or was reassigned) going from Yakima to Ft. Smith, AR. Nice 2,108 mile load of pears going to the famous baby food company. This load will get me through Sapulpa Monday and I'll get the chance to meet JCT's newest driver, CapeBuffalo.
So I should be empty Monday night with 2,108 miles for next week. That will also put me VERY close to my 13,500 mile goal for September. I think I'm going to make it by less than 50 miles or so. Today is payday. For the week, I got paid for two trips totaling 3,650 miles. I got charged for 495.8 gallons of fuel, so 3650/495.8= 7.36 mpg. That's pretty close to what I actually burned for the week. Bottom line: $1,751 into my account. I love running over 3,000 miles every week!
I'm inside the Arrowhead truck stop at the bottom of Cabbage in Oregon. I didn't bring Soule_Man's attachment in with me but suffice to say that he's getting some impressive fuel economy in his Evolution. I take full credit, lol. Hey Soule, how about your impression of the Scangauge?luvtotruck and mushroom1464 Thank this. -
Very Nice! Glad you will get through Sapulpa on Monday! I'm still thinking about getting in there... We will see! Thanks or the update!
