You'll need an external hard drive that uses an eSATA connection. The following hard drive models are recommended:
- Western Digital 500GB (model WDG1S5000)
- Western Digital 1TB (model WDG1S10000)
- Seagate 1TB (model ST31000SCA109-RK)
- Seagate 500GB (model ST30500SCA109-RK)

all drives are sata these days. there's not much of the old ide connection anymore.
one end of the drive is sata. the other end is usb. for those that plug into such ports.
you can buy the older ide connections though. and an adapter that allows to plug into usb ports. if you still have the older drives that are still functional.Dieselboss Thanks this. -

You could download it to your cell phone hard drive and connect a micro HDMI to your TV.
Many ways you can do this but Dish has what you want.
