Sirius radio going to ####

I miss the Lex & Terry show.

 

When mine was active, I listened to Dr. Laura every day she was on. Used to listen to Stern, but he was getting boring and now broadcasting only who shows a week? PLEASE!!! If you can't do the job, let Sal and Richard have the channels. They're the only real talent left on that channel.

I'd like to subscribe again for NPR because I love Car Talk, Wait Wait-Don't tell me, and a few others. Always looking for an NPR station while I'm down south. CBC for at home.

 

I alternate between sirius, mp3, and fm/am depending on where I'm at or whats playing. Sirius was way better 6-8 years ago when I first had it. Less dj's, more music selection, and better talk shows. I can't stand the stupid dj talk or the weekend countdowns that play back to back the entire weekend. Some stations seem like they are on a two day loop playing a new set of songs after two days. I'm not a super huge fan of sirius but it keeps me entertained when the other two options don't. BTW, I think dr. laura is a crazy extremist b####!

 

The syndicated stuff is cheaper to air for Sirius. It sucks as a listener. It seems a lot of the music channels are playing the same 10 songs on a loop anymore. I listen to Stern, but he's always on vacation. The appreciation concerts are a joke, its 90% celebreties and sirius employees an 10% listeners. I got Sirius in 2004, i'll always have it as it is better than terrestrial, but it has gone downhill.

 

Has anyone tried listening to internet radio while driving? The thought occurred to me that when I was desk bound I would frequently listen to internet radio, which has a very wide range of options. I have the jack for plugging into the truck stereo from my computer. Might try that today and report back the results.

 

Will eat up your data plan before too long. Even at audio bitrates.

 

^^^ true that, but because my wife like's to watch LOT's of videos our data plan is.... hefty....

 

Get costly anywhere near the Canada border and in their country.

 

I like listening to a few different shows but I mix it up between satellite radio, spotify, and audiobooks.

My big complaint about satellite radio is that I'm paying to listen to con-men make retarded commercials talking about drinking a liquid "clumplex" to lose weight and pills to make my member bigger. I wish they wouldn't just let any Joe Schmo with advertising dollars on the radio.

 

Waste of money....Get a nice stereo system and some good CD's and rock down the highway..Or plug the MP3 in..All freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
