Here are a couple of videos about shifting the 13 speed Eaton that I think are very helpful. The first one is a great explanation
and the second one is a great demonstration including a PIP (picture in picture) so that you can see his feet and hand at the same time. Brilliant! Watch the 1st one to get the concept then watch the 2nd one to see it in action. Good luck to all of us newbies.

The mattress in my 2011 Peterbilt is 42" X 80" X 8.25", according to the tag.
(AKA "single" sheet size, more or less)

I thought that I was going to Phoenix AZ for orientation but that has been changed to Layton Utah for the week of Oct 7. (I leave Sunday) Any advice for or info about the road test? I hear that there is a nasty hair-pin turn in Layton that you need to take extra wide. Does this sound familiar to anybody? Any other "bumps" in the road that I should know about? Thanks.

I think the test is the same no matter which terminal you take it at. Just go slow get out and look and stay to the left use your mirrors. The people in this company are so nice. They want you to pass the.test. They do this test to make sure you will be safe.on the road. If you go.and take road test and run over the curb that says your not using your mirrors. I could not fit in the truck I was in so im at home now till another trainer becomes available in a smaller truck. They understand my situation and took care of it asap. And all the drivers and trainers are good here, they will give you advice and help you.out all they can. Iv not been here long but I feel like a family member already. You will do fine.

Thanks for the encouragement KHC. I am asking about the actual road test, as opposed to the skills test in the yard. My straight back is good and if I am not limited on my GOAL's or my pull-ups (the Calif DMV limits your get-outs and pull-ups) I think I will be fine in the yard. My recruiter thought that I would be going to Phoenix but when I told her about Layton she wanted to warn me about one turn in particular that is on the road test out there. She wasn't sure, and they may have changed the route too, I certainly don't know. I just like to go into something like this as prepaired as possible. Thats just a part of me being me. Did you have to back-up around a barrel ? Kind of like a "?" pattern ?
