Uptade ......... It's been a minute lady's n gents ive been busy and I've had a good week this week 3200 miles on the western 11 not bad i think thats the most miles ive done yet .anyways my 3 months are up today and i can wait to see how many miles ive accumulate i hope alot so i can get a nice big check so overall ive broken down once and sat 3 days ,been home for home time on time and i even got a chance to bring my lovely wife with me to enjoy the road . I feel comfortable driving this truck and there's not one place i cant back into . You get minimal training with your trainer but you learn a whole lot when your by yourself after 3 months i feel good i love the job but leaving home still sucks but when that last week comes around and you know you get to go home it all feels better ... The 90 for 90 was a good choice for me i sat 5 days in 3 months for breakdowns so that 90 bucks covered my days sitting my dm is the best and has helped me alot .in 3 months, only was late once , never denied any pre plan ,my shortest run was 38 miles and i got payed miles/hourly then after that trip i got a 1100 mile trip i dont have one complaint i new what i was getting into and it is everything i expected lonely, long hours, being away from home , its a nice job but only if you know what your getting Into dont come out here thinking its a easy job theres more to it then just driving and even that ,driving 11 hrs a day is not easy stay alert and entertaining your self while driving for hours is the only way to keep it rolling ok enought for this update ill be back later to tell you guys if 90 for 90 payed of .... Ohh yeah i hit my first snow storm ohhh weee that was intense no chaining yet ok see you guys later
-
Yeah buddy got hit with that snow storm in Wyoming but i drove right trought that bad boy
got in to Layton just in time cus 30 minutes after i pulled in it started snowing there too it was scary at first but i just took a breather and relaxed and keept on trucking be safe out there guys and check to make shure you got enought snow chains even for the drag wheels see ya later

Trying real hard to not over pack. Im more afraid of over packing than the truck. I've driven a 10 speed Eaton (at driving school) and the 13 speed seems simpler so that shouldn't be a problem for me, but packing for an adventure like this ....now that is a first. Sleeping bag (that fills 1/3 of my duffle bag), toiletry kit, paper work, atlas (#### that thing is BIG), 2 pair of gloves (one for fueling one for working/back-up in case of loss or damage or???) towel, 10 t-shirts (5 short sleeve & 5 Long sleeve) 3 jeans (2 packed one wearing) a couple of mini mags (the 2-AA type one of them has LEDs) socks 10 pair, adidas, sweat pants & hoodie, jacket, thermals, a few snacks, cell phone & chargers, winter hat, base-ball cap. Im hoping to get this all in one duffle bag and a computer type back-pack.
20 hours on the Greyhound with 3 transfers. This will be an experiance all in itself. Can I get a Whoo-Hoo?Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
The nice thing about MTC is that they give the time to get to the consignee as a new driver. MTC is a starter/training company. Truck driving is what you make it. I had a very good experience with them.
They give you the OPPORTUNITY to learn about the industry, right out of trucking school.
MTC provides side by side training. None of that team training crapola.
Once you get a year of safe driving in you can move on to better things. Or stay with them.
It's up to you what you do with your life.
Team training crapola should be outlawed IMHO.
Remember, some loves you, don't ask me why.....................Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
It's gona be a mission to get to the mission lol you should be fine i brought two medium duffle bags and everyday i transferred them from my bunk to passenger seat good luck gotta go to bed ive been sitting at the dock for 12 hrs waiting to get loaded due to the company waiting for the shipment to arrive at their warehouse first time it's happened to me ohh well g night people
