I try to be. Spent the day here at the TA because I just had a gut feeling I should. Didnt want to chance the wind with an empty trailer. I have kids at home waiting for me after all and Id rather have a smaller paycheck than a potentially overturned truck. And now Im just tired from waiting all day for the weatjer to break so am going to sleep before seeing where they want me to go. Have a couple pics I will attempt to post. But anyone is welcome to message me and add me on Facebook. Thats where I post the majority of my pics and job-related rants and raves ((I do have a potty mouth tjough, lol)). Apparently I have quite the following. I gey random measages all the time from old high school friends and other acquaintences on FB who apparently find my ranting and raving fascinating and entertaining.

Ok yeah, the pic thing wont work from my phone. :(

Thanks HQ! YEs I do know that no company is perfect, there are good and bad points to all of them.. I have always felt though people sometimes make their situations worse than what they are. You can also take a bad situation learn from it and go on with a positive attitude. I have read the frustrations, and the good points on Transam, and have truly enjoyed your input on here. Yes I live in Rogers, not far at all from Springfield. Good to know TA picks up a lot here, might be a good chance for me to drop in on the wife from time to time. She would like to ride along but I don't think I can pry her loose from our 3 kids (dogs). lol Sometimes I think she thinks more of them than she does me....lol lol Don't know yet if I will do company or lease, but figure I have time to decide. Anyway, even with the frustrations the company sounds good and I know the equipment is top notch, so looking forward to the challenge!:biggrin_25519:

^^^Don't know if this will help you or not .....I have seen far better webcams than what Wyoming seems to have. But it's something to keep in mind ...there are also links to road conditions and phone numbers.

My husband usually left here after home time and either went to the caves in Carthage and picked up a load that would go to Lewiston, Maine .....really nice miles! ....or he picked up Tyson in Rogers and it would go to Michigan or Ohio. Either way he would start out with a nice trip.
I understand completely about the four-legged kids. I have a couple myself ....2 French mastiffs. Wouldn't know what to do without my shadows.

Panhandle, are you in Nebraska yet? It sure does look cold up through there .....time to break out the thermals! Hadn't heard from Husband all evening and had just thought to myself I bet he stopped in Carlisle, Arkansas at Nick's to eat ....he calls and sure enough that's where he was at. LOL

Orientation so far is not bad. Just like any other company they teach you the do's and don't's.. The real fun will start Monday on the range. I am looking forward to it. One thing I learned here is if you don't follow the book... You get fired... lol. They did tell us that we are absolutely, 100% not allowed to call shippers or receivers. I don't like that at all. I have read on here before that other drivers have called themselves. I just might have to break that rule.. lol. For those about to attend orientation here is the real schedule. Wed thru Fri is classroom orientation, off on Sat & Sun, Mon thru Wed (the following week) is mostly range training and finally on Thur you go out with your coach as long as one is available. When you return there are 2 more days of training then you are assigned your own truck.
