Wipers are required equipment; an operable washer is not. According to a Michigan State Police commercial vehicle officer, the thought is that the wipers are there to keep rain off the windshield so you can see where you're going. The washer is a driver convenience item only. So it's good you didn't volunteer; just let 'em squeak against dry glass!

Get inspected in ONTARIO CANADA and explain why you do not have enough washer fluid to fill the already full washer resivoir , they hit you if low on fluid as a safety issue.

I'm getting warranty replacement of my windshield washer reservoir, the hoses need to be replaced, along with repairing the washer nozzles that they replaced in June. They just came and told me that they can't finish it today, so one more day....oh well...it is what it is.

They can, at their discretion, write you up for it here in the states too...because you are supposed to have washer fluid to de-ice your windshield if need be.

Stopped by Freightliner in Fontana and had a visit with TrukTuff. Always a good visit.
While there got an intro with Sharpp - very nice. Both of you be safe and thanks for the
    time.

Hey guys, my husband is new with JCT, just out on his first trip. Just picked up his loaded reefer trailer. Question: What is the orange light that is on, bottom row. He's looking for a place to pull over so he can check it out. Is this something to worry about? He asked for one-on-one reefer training when it was offered but the guy was too busy to do it, just sent him out late last night.

    Is it the defrost?

    Thanks.

OH wait, never mind. He pulled into the first Petro he found, he's near Little Rock AR. He went to the fuel island, pulled up behind another JCT truck, what luck! The other driver helped him out, took a look. It's broke. There is anti-freeze spewed all over, a door at the top of the reefer unit is open. He said several drivers were coming up to talk to him, pointing at the open door. He's like, yeah, I know. Got problems. He called breakdown.

After a rough start this morning through Wyoming and the remnants of the winter storm, I managed to pull 8.4 for the day, from Rock Springs wy to Ellis Ks

Well, welcome to the family...both of you! I'm glad your husband was able to get the help he needed to figure out the issue. Don't hesitate to ask questions here either. We'll all be happy to help if we can. Y'all stay safe out there.

"I've got a bad feeling about this mission..."

LOL. It was nice to get out and see a movie, in an actual theatre. I guess it's good to get out of the truck once in a while.
