I would guess the job that requires the most sacrifice and hard work pays more. I am a reefer and I get paid three times more than the guys who post their weekly income here.

My guess would be one of those guys that drive over in Afghanistan. Thing is, it wouldn't pay enough.

Saw that "Outback Trucker" show on YouTube. The old guy pulling the road train, got his dog and his rifle in the truck. He to stuck in the mud, had to dig the truck out, detach, and bring the trailers out one at a time and reattach. The guy would do more digging than he would driving. Guess I really don't have anything to complain about, do I?

In the US ...I would guess the guys that drive for the NASCAR teams , and maybe those who move the bigger name country and rock&roll groups from concert to concert while they are on tour...but this is just a guess.

It's not about what you drag behind you, it's where you live, who you end up working for once experienced, and how you balance home time with work time if you're OTR. Either one could net more money, then the others ... depending.

I knew some drivers in Nashville that drove for singers, concerts, etc. and their pay was crummy. They only did it for the glory and the easy access to good looking women, thinking the drivers could get them in with the stars. Th drivers would neither confirm nor deny they could arrange a personal private introduction, so the women gambled and lost. I hauled one load for the musical "Hair" but that was enough for me.

Had a chance to run with the guy that drove the show-coach for "Journey" once. He told me that the pay was terrible also , but the "fringe Benefits" were AWESOME........

Used to be HHG ..hands down...But if you're willing to do all the hard work, half the pay is still more than most and HALF the mileage on your truck.
