The owner is very shady do not waste your time if a job is what you seek

Bob M. owns the company he is very shady and has little or no regard for the condition of his trucks or the hours of service its located in brooktondale ny very high turnover rate and for good reason

Would you mind elaborating a bit more? Did you work for them?
-
I did work for them until it became obvious that I would be driven into the dirt and was constantly given expectations to exeed normal driving limits and always left feeling like I had to cheat on my logbook to make deadlines for delivery the owner is very rude and promises lots of money but youll be lucky to get it his trucks with the exeption of a couple are falling apart and though he claims to be willing to fix them you will be driving a crapbox and when the dot stops you it will be your problem and if you need money its not like you are going to refuse the run I his company does not carry and benefits not even workers comp which means that when when your step plate falls off while your getting out and you break your leg good luck you knew what you were getting into he has gone through about 70 drivers in five years some even say he has refused to pay them I feel bad for people that want to find a decent job and end up getting sucked into wasting their time at quickland I have been gone for a year and never would wish that job on anyone there are so many better jobs even mcdonalds!
RightCoast Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info. I have been looking at Quickland but definitely rethinking now.

If I knew you were not the owner because he currently owes me two grand I would really give you the lowdown dont do it man you will only find yourself frustrated angry tired and feeling ripped off you might end up being owed thousands of dollars and having to hire an attorney to get your money like im probably going to have to do
-
Man, that sucks. I was really hoping this would be a great opportunity to work for a small company in the area I'm from. Thanks again for the heads up.
-
I thought that too what a nightmare I just hope he doesnt stiff me for what he owes me im going to check out hogan they seem to be offering a pretty good employment opp w benifits and home time good luck
-
Just out of curiosity if he refuses to pay me for the loads I delivered which will roughly equal 2000 dollars what should I do I think I can use my logbook to prove my movements and when I was at the shippers or the recievers I signed bills of lading and im sure the recievers will remember me he has insinuated that hes going to stiff me and I read at least one peson saying he refused to pay him after he went on the road for him so im worried I need that money it sucks I wont know till fri when I go to get a check what do I do if theres no check
