For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself - I am a former driver who now works in the office at a Swift terminal in the midwest. I have not been very active on TTR for awhile due to my crazy schedule. Now that winter is coming, I intend to spend more time on TTR.
One of the things I am passionate about is helping others to be successful. Please post any questions that you have, and I will be happy to help! I would like to keep this thread focused on the difficult questions that have not been asked elsewhere in this forum.

yea I got question. I was a new hire with swift out Memphis. a week before I completed my hours I had house fire I lost everything I had and I had a teenager to provide for. i managed to make sure my daughter wasn't on street. I stayed and finished my 40 hours in training. swift give me a month off before they assigned me my trk. i did test out and i passed everything. house fire in oct swift let me go in December 1st when i was calling to return to work. i was terminated. i have a friend that is o/o with swift he wants to drive team. he wants me to reapply with swift to drive team with him. am i a candidate for rehire. my dac is clean no accidents. have 1 ticket in coming thru ohio its a year old. i have 2 1/2 years experience.

Yes, you should be eligible to get hired back on. You would be an employee of the o/o instead of a Swift employee in this case. The o/o needs to initiate the process by submitting the paperwork to hire you on as an employee. You may have to attend orientation again just to get you up to speed with any changes that have taken place since you left. The ticket probably will not be an issue, as long as it is not a dui or other grievous offense.missjhawk Thanks this. -

We'll just have to see what questions are posted. The goal is to "pay it forward" for all the help I received from others on this forum. -
