Are you running the croc pot while gaming lol? Yes you can assuming they are on separate circuits. In some trucks they will have 2 or 3 right next to each other and they are just daisy chained together. The 2 or 3 share the same fuse. In that case, you wouldnt get any more power out without tripping the fuse. This is especially common on dash cigarette lighters. On some freghtliners the gagde runs off the same circuit as the radio and one cigarette lighter. If you blow it, you loose your gauges and radio to. I found out the hard way when my bad gps charger shorted it out. I thought the truck was dead, but it was just the gauges. Luckily my KR scan gauge kept working so i could monitor the truck until i found a safe spot to pull over.

save up your fuel points. when you get enough. use your points to buy the invertor for free.
it's how i got my 400 watt when my walmart stopped functioning. totally free. just by fueling up the truck.
you get one point for each gallon you purchase. 4000 gallons and i got my 400 watt. i've almost got enough for that 1500 i wanna buy so i can buy a fridge. -

You get points, which are the same as cash.
It is not free, since you are paying for something.
And what don't people understand about inverters that plug in to a 12V socket?
No matter what the inverter is rated at - it will only output 150W when plugged in to a socket.
Some of you should read the booklet that comes with these inverters. It is clearly stated. -
If you get an actual gaming laptop do a search to see if they offer a car charger for that particular model. Not necessarily because you won't to buy it, but because this will tell you whether or not you'll have issues with power. My laptop for example has no car charger available. The charger uses about 148w when charging which is pushing the limit of a cigarette lighter plug.
The key to using a gaming laptop through a cigarette plug style inverter is to remove the battery. The charger requires much more power to charge the battery and power the laptop at the same time than to only power the laptop.
I figured all of this out after burning out a lot of inverters. I still ate through inverters at the rate of about 1 every 4-6 months without the battery in, but that was a lot better than 1 every 1-2 weeks. It won't matter what the inverter is rated as you're limited by the plug like moosetek stated. They'll burn up when you push towards the 150 range. You'll get a lot of low voltage warnings, if the inverter has that feature, when you press it to the edge. -
i have a 400 watt inverter that can power my tv and laptop at the same time, i got it cause my big inverter died and i haven't replaced it yet.

in order to buy the invertor. you have to have points.
you get points by fueling up the truck. company pays for the fuel. you get the points. rack up enough points and you get whatever you want with those points. and it didn't cost you anything other then your time for fueling up the truck.
pay something to get something. sure. but did it cost you any pennies. nope. and that means FREE. OR, consider it a gift from the company. since they paid for the fuel. and they also paid YOU for using that fuel. in the form of cents per mile or percentage of the load if the case may be.
so, one could argue that FREE would also be a BONUS. but if your so inclined to stick with the notion of paying something to get something. you could always send you company thank you notes. and pay for the stamps out of your pocket to say thank you for the bonus gift you just received. through the points that YOU were so nice to put on YOUR card instead of the company card. and the fact that you spend THEIR money to purchase the fuel so that YOU could earn those points on YOUR card. to receive that FREE gift.
or food as the above post pointed out.
