The training pay schedule is $350 per week ($50 a day) until solo. Solo is $.26 per mile until you 6 month anniversary from date of hire (not from date of solo). Then it is $.28 for the next 90 days, then .29 for the next 90 which puts you at the one year maker where it is raised to $.30 and one cent a year after that.
Stevens or Prime?

AARDVARK: Are you getting the miles they promised you after training? I am thinking Stevens but Prime is also tempting
-
I believe you get the .28 after 90days from date of hire well I did. As for miles I was turning and burning doing between 2800 and 3500 a week. I had to beg my DM for a down day to recoup some of my 70, was always running it down and chasing hours. Great checks but unfortunately OTR was not the life for me right now. Missed watching the grand daughter grow up and the wife was stressing with me gone.
Had great training and great equipment and my DM was getting me the loads and usually in the direction I wanted to run. YMMV but I like Stevens for what they gave me in knowledge and opportunity. -
You can enjoy that lightweight truck at Prime. Been there done that. It sucked. The lightweight truck that is. The company was decent. I no longer drive for them, cuz I decided to go back to hauling cars, but im now thinking bout going back to a big company. Just not sure what one. was thinking bout stevens.

Then you can enjoy one of Stevens' "lightweight" paychecks. But you'll look cool in their black KW.

Some do better than others and I can guarantee I can find just as many pissed off former prime drivers as you can Stevens drivers. Now I have never driven for Prime and that is why I do not bad mouth them, have you driven for Stevens that you have an actual basis of comparison?Emulsified, n1xrf, nascarchuck and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ip I wasn't bad mouthing prime, just their lightweight trucks. It got the job done for me when I was there or at least until I leased and got a fullsize truck by leasing. I did enjoy prime but here's my lite weight Pete. I know I could go back to prime if I wanted, already been told so by a recruiter. Rite now I'm just looking at all my options. So far Stevens is sounding like an ok choice to look into further. Both companies pay better than the yaaahooo I'm currently driving for.

Got rid of the Pete's. They're using mid-roof Cascadias and Prostars now. Just be sure of where they're going to start you. Stevens isn't a bad place to go- I wouldn't be happy there though.
