TQL really does crack me up with what they say.
Had a truck posted in Charlotte, NC needing to get him to Goldsbro, NC to pick up a load for my customer. TQL agent calls and says lets get this truck going and go to Miami. I told him no I need to get to Goldsboro to pick up for one of my customers. What would his response be "Carriers should not be allowed have direct customers and all freight should be required by law to go thru a broker. We are lobbying congress for this to be put into law." I laughed and asked to be put back on the banned list again.
Another Classic TQL comment

I applied to work there a few years back as a freight broker. So glad I never got hired.
mje Thanks this. -
Yeah, lets have the government outlaw brokers. They have done such a great job with everything else.
BeN DaViS, mje and RedForeman Thank this. -
Eh. Brokers probably fill a need in that they are a way for shipping departments to outsource their needs. But they certainly will take more than they deserve if they can! ...... And that's all that TQL ever tries to do. All day, every day. With all of its no-life-experience, no-industry-experience, just-out-of-college clueless punks manning the telephones, booking and looking, booking and looking.
mje and LSAgentOZR Thank this. -
Another obvious brain trust at TQL. They can lobby all they want be it is impossible to pass a law like that. It would be a direct violation of the Constitution. Congress cannot pass a law to restrict free trade in such a manner. It would be flagrant violation of the Commerce Clause. In fact it is so flagrant he is full of crap. No one would waste money to lobby Congress for something that was literally impossible.
Oh, and FYI, being on TQL's banned list is a mark of honor. I have been on it for over a year now and plan to stay on it forever.Shade_Tree, mje and Jokingypsy Thank this. -
We're not on THEIR banned list, But they're on OURS.

TQL agents are NOT the brightest bulbs in the box, that's for certain. Dealt with them on a couple of loads, and that was enough. The pay was actually fine, but good lord, the stupidity we had to deal with . . . no amount of pay can make up for that! Nothing like being sent to the wrong location for a load . . .
Leftlane101 Thanks this. -
My immediate question would have been "who a you lobbying"? I would love to know that answer.
I would also state that a company should at least own a truck to be a freight broker too.Foxcover and Jokingypsy Thank this. -
Well I just had to call them up this week and tell them to cancel my account, I'm not going to haul anything for them again. They said, ok will up our system but call us back if you change your mind.
I just bought 2 more trucks too add to my fleet.
