So, 2 weeks ago the company I'm currently with put me in a 2014 Cascadia. I'm really impressed with the truck (say what you will, this thing beats the snot ouyt of the '95 FLD I started in). I'm also really impressed with the fuel mileage this thing is getting. I'm more than a little curious now to see if this truck is speced similar to the "Evolutions" some of you have gotten into out of orientation in the last couple weeks.
The truck I'm in now has 2.42 gears and a direct drive 10 speed. Super singles but only one drive axle, the other axle on the tractor is a tag axle. Very similar set up Kevin Rutherford always talks about. About the only difference is this truck has a Cummins where you all are running Detroits, right?
Can anyone chime in with the specs on the 2014's you are in. I'm trying to run some numbers and would like to know if the JCT trucks are comparable to what I'm running now. Thanks.

What type of trucking are you doing with 2.42 ?

Dry Van and Reefer, it's not nearly as bad as it sounds with the transmission they are running.

I run Internet explorer and have had no major problems. The only minor ones were pages loading, a simple restart of the computer and I had no further issues with it.

OK Guys, I'm not sure why this thread is headed off course again? I think Sharpp should make me the thread captain or whatever they are called, but what does The Cascadia that another driver is driving have to do with what JCT, Sharpp and the rest of the gang are doing at JCT? Guys, I'm not sure if you are just posting to get a rise out of someone or if you don't really know where you should be posting? But let us keep this to Sharpp and the guys running with JCT to let us know what they are doing and where they are going next, Please don't get bent out of shape with this post, I don't mean any harm in any way, I just don't think some of this stuff refers to anything about this thread. Thank You!

CrossettDriver and Night Prowler Thank this.

Ummm, actually I was asking for a direct comparison between my truck and JCT's trucks, so yes it is totally related to this thread.
Didn't this thread get derailed earlier because somebody took it upon themselves to moderate somebody elses thread? Just sayin'...Night Prowler and Sharpp Thank this. -
I'm wondering about the specs as well WE. It seems every company including JCT has changed the way they used to spec trucks when I started researching the industry in 09'.
