Mechanical questions should be in the Mechanics Section? These guys drive the trucks that are provided by JCT They don't request the Spec'ed truck and when it come in they get in it. They get what they get. How are they going to be able to compare it to anything? They drive a truck. And do a very good job doing so, May I say? Just Saying.

I think that there's plenty of room here for questions about how JCT's trucks are spec'd. As for the rear ends, I'm in the dark too. I'm pretty sure that for a Cascadia to be an, "Evolution", it has to have the DD15 engine. The standard 2014 Cascadia may have the old 2012-style fairings too.

If you're talking about how the skirting flares out in front of the drives and the steps are only underneath the door instead of the full length of the truck, then no, it's not dependant on the motor. My truck has them with an ISX.

Sorry about all the confusion on truck specs Sharpp, was just trying to figure out if the numbers I am seeing on my truck are directly comparable to JCTs truck or if there are mechanical variables to consider.

I dead-headed over to Van Buren last night to pick up. It was a live load that Tyson, in their infinite wisdom, loaded onto a Southern Refrigerated trailer. Would have been a nice drop-n-hook since the SRT trailer looked better than the one that I had. So the yard dog and I backed into adjacent docks and the switch was accomplished without difficulty.

The 04:00 Monday appointment wasn't looking doable though. I think that it might have been possible in theory, but then time travel is possible in theory too! The Qualcomm woke me up with the welcome news to meet a team in Sayre, OK for a swap. I've been wanting to get rid of this trailer since I got it! It has no aero doo dads, but at least it has super singles.

My team showed up on time in Sayre and the first thing I saw was that I was actually trading down for one of the dreaded "R" trailers. No aero, no singles. The good news was that they were very light with a tomato load scaling under 20,000#. Three stops: St. Louis, Cleveland, and New Haven, CT for about 1,650 miles ending on Wednesday morning. Pretty good deal!

I hooked up and boogied east getting 8.5 mpg. Stopped tonight in Big Cabin, OK. Tomorrow will be a quick 360-mile dash to Troy, IL to meet an old friend for some steaks, football, and beer.

No probs. We're getting the 10-speed Eatons still. I really want to see some real-world numbers with the Detroit DT12 automatic.

You my friend have totally missed the point of my post. Which if I recall, isn't the first time you've done so in this thread. I asked for some mechanical information about JCTs equipment in a JCT thread from JCT drivers and recieved a snide response from someone not associated with JCT. So forgive me if I don't like nor care for the response I got from you.

I'm asking these questions because I am considering make a huge commitment with my time and money. Gathering as much info as possible, which includes mechanical data on the equipment being offered is a big part of that.

Instead of trying to moderate somone elses thread, sit back and see what information comes out of the question being asked. You may learn something useful. Just sayin'...
