That's the exact attitude to have in this industry otherwise you will not succeed.People have no idea how different this is compared to their job and lifestyle they're accustomed to.So many don't give trk driving a chance. The first failure at something and they're ready to walk.Believe me it gets much easier with practice and exp.Heck I was the worst backer imaginable my first few months out here and to this day if I cant back into a dock im not afraid to ask a driver to spot me.But I also don't get nervous don't let ppl bother me and could care less whos waiting, they can keep on waiting.I have delivered to New York City lots of times, the first time sucked but after that its just another city only more traffic.Trk driving does become second nature and now I drive trk better then my own car at times, lol.

That's because you always turn the steering wheel the wrong direction when backing your car! LOL :biggrin_25521:

    You will.
Seriously, I have done exactly that, while starting to back in my pickup truck a few times after jumping out of my semi.
What guarantees me a backing/steering wheel screwup is on rare occasions, when I had to move (back) a straight truck, to get it outta the way.
I ALWAYS turned the wheel the wrong direction! lol

The answer is always NO until you ask someone for help.

Get used to asking others if the need arises, don't accidentally sabotage yourself and smash the truck by assuming things about what others will or won't do.

Fear (Anxiety) is just one of those things (fundamentally we are afraid of dying >get used to it<)
