:biggrin_25520: thanks for all the good info, drivers! my hubbie and I live in Billings MT and we are trying to get jobs that get us home at night/or daily, we've been OTR for the last 4 yrs together as team, hubbie has total of 20 yrs driving. but if we cant get good paying jobs to get us home, we all know that trucking is the way to make money. I'm grateful for the info on W/S, we put apps in and talked to a nice lady named Darlene today. waiting on some answers from other stay at home opps, but if they dont work out, we'll be calling DArlene next week and signing up for the next orientation, the end of June. I do have some questions though, not sure if ANY of you are out of MT or Billings, but can anyone tell me where we would run as a team? and since we live 5 hrs from Missoula, would we have to do a long drive every time we want our days home, or will they have us go to the Billings "terminal"? I know they have an office here, i think, but not sure if they run drivers out of there or what they do. and a lot of these messages are pretty old (2007-2010), so are there changes with the trucks, any newer trucks, still no refrigerator? a fridge is nice to keep our bottled waters nice and cold, or to bring sandwiches, etc. so we dont spend so much on the road. anyone know how Missoula works, do loads go out like on Sundays or Mondays, when would we be back thru, etc? it worked out with our last company that we got home usually on Sundays for a few hours (sometimes as little as 6 hrs, but enough to do laundry, grab mail, and shower at home, enjoy our own coffee!) I dont know if I will like being out for 3 weeks straight without checking on our home. I wish we could get rid of the house, and not have to worry about it any more, but in this economy, houses are not selling.
sorry I've rambled too long, will try to keep it shorter and to the point next time!

They run out of the Billings terminal, not positive if they have short line though, and you will have to supply your own frig...Darlene can probably answer all those questions...As far as where you'd run, I'd say all over being a team...Lots of long runs out of Three Forks to all points that I know of...

I live near the martinsville va terminal. Where would I be running if I worked out of there? Also how would the home time be? Could I stay home for more than 34 hrs?

What does it take to actually speak with a recruiter? I have called several times over the last 2 weeks. My call goes to a recruiters voice mail, I leave a message, and none of them call me back! Not a single one. Should I give up and just look at other companies?

Where do you park the truck on home time at the Las Vegas terminal?

There is space at the terminal to park, unless you live close enough to the terminal that the Terminal Manager will give you the okay to take the truck home. It has to be a secure parking area in order to do that.
