The failure rate is 4 out of 5. Most within the first year.

All you can do is offer an opinion and advice hope they take it or hope others read it and take heed before making their decision.

You always hope they can be succesful. Maybe the will, maybe they won't.

However, You can almost garauntee that they won't come back here and admit if they discover they made a bad decision or jumped in too quick.

I'd like to see the guys run a year or two on the company side... to get a good perspective for how it's done there. After all, Prime has been successful at it for quite awhile, AND it gives them time to build up some cash to support the business. If nothing else, it's a good "graduate program" in applied hours of service in an elog environment. That can really help.

But, as my pops would have said, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink!"

Overall, do you feel Prime is worth investing the time in and working for?

Do your research, save your money. This is a business, your the owner. Any F'ups mess with your profit which is your bottom line. Business mind set, Business attitude. No B's, Dont take any chances. Thats the way I see it. Its all about revenue.

Everybody will have their own version of how this worked out for them in the end. There are folks who pass through this thread that absolutely hate Prime... and I feel they'd have trouble anywhere. It's an opportunity, and it will be what you make of it. For my experience, it's been positive and certainly "worth it."

Hey raceready they sent me home because I need my doctor to fill out some papers for me the F@@@@ A@@@ in prime did not want to sign my DOT because of an injury I sufer in the army even when I showed him proof that it was a close case and that I was fully capable of performing the tast of driving a truck I just don't get how they work I'm 6'1 210of muscle much more healthy than a lot of people at prime its funny how they did not aprove my DOT card but they would aprove a person that's a cheeseburger away from carching a stroke or people who can hardly get in a a truck because of there mortally obese. ......no offense to kmow one but I think that doctor should of have better judgement even DANIEL the nurse at prime was in shocked about this men not wanting to sign my DOT.......he wanted my military records witch if anyone in the military would know you have to request them it's not like your local doctor that coukd just fax it to you and that's it and if anyone here knows how the va works then yeah it's a slow process but the part that gor me the most upset was that I gave this man a COPY of all my medical records from the military but no this M@@@@ER want them fax to him even those he had them in his hands........prime its a great company I love the people STAN is a great guy would I ever go back idk I was looking into KNIGHT TRANSPORTATION and yes I know prime is a WAY better company pay waise, training waise, and equipment wise but KNIGHT has a terminal 10 miles from my house here in florida so I was looking into them in terms of convinience and they also have a lot of regenal and dedicated runs and another thing that atracted me to them was that they run there not central dispatch every terminal has it's own operations manager and you only deal with that terminal staf only, II KNOW the PAY SUCKS conpare to prime I can stress that enough but I'm A HARD WORKER I trust me I'M A WORKER so I know I'll make my money no matter were I am once I learn the business right oh and another thing KNIGHT TRANSPORTATION has O/O witch I think it's better deal that lease operator I'm not but like I said it's a CONVINIENCE CHOICE not saying that KNIGHT TRANSPORTATION it's better that prime because it's not BY A LONG SHOT

Well i'm starting Prime on the 29th. Big career change for me. I've been reading these threads for over a year and finally decided to take a chance. Is it difficult to get a non-smoking trainer? What about bringing a computer with me.
