Trying to take hubby's hometime away because he did a 34 hour reset??

He just called me and said he talked to his fleet manager, Brian, who sounds like an awesome guy. His hometime will just be 3.5 days but it will still be for next Friday. Hubby apologized and said now that he knows it won't happen again and Brian said he should have been told about it and he said he'd get him routed back through Maine soon so he can have time to see his grandfather who is dying and he gave him some friendly advice and told him he was glad he got to see his family,etc. So everything is good. I guess whoever he talked to this morning had also told him he'd have to turn his truck in when he goes home but Brian said nope, he'd get to keep his truck

Buckeye, you are with Swift? Which terminal did you go to for training/orientation?

 

Yeah I really wish he would stay with Swift for a while because they really aren't a bad company and he can get more experience so next company he may start out making a little more. He's really wanting to do flatbed and Melton has been calling but we'll have to think about it. We don't jump into anything without a lot of research and he doesn't decide anything without discussing it with me first. Plus right now on the flatbed area they are talking about freight is already slowing down so that would be a concern too if he switched to flatbed.
