that is a very simplistic inaccurate representation of the tax structure
don't keep paying for that MBA
just park out back blocking in 4 other drivers and blame the rest of us
or pull your curtains in the fuel island because you deserve special treatment

When I go into a McDonald's I'm never grateful that they have picked up the trash off the floor. It's a (rather low) expectation of the business when I set foot in it.

Enough with the entitlement B.S. !!! I've already said they can do whatever they want with their spots. It's their lot.

Everything I've heard is that freight numbers are only increasing and that we already have a parking shortage now. The fact that T/A and Pilot have been allowed by the government to aggressively buy out competitors while now testing the waters for "reserved spaces" looks like a calculated cash grab.

Factor in that states like Arkansas make parking on shoulders illegal and you are clearly putting the driver's safety in jeopardy. (Not that anyone cares)

Tell me again skateboardman about how happy you are to have a huge new unavoidable expense that effects your business profitability and safety. You make me think you sit behind a desk for T/A and spew nonsensical propaganda.

While it IS simple, it's not an oversimplification and is CERTAINLY not inaccurate.

Stating how happy you are to spend $8 to save $3 in taxes it makes it clear what a retarded business person you are.

What smart business owner do you know who spends $800,000 to save $300,000 in taxes on something that isn't a depreciable, tangible asset?!?

Tax deductions don't decrease your taxes for 100% of the deduction. They only reduce your taxes at whatever your taxable rate is.

Tax Rate X Deductible Expense = Tax Savings
Learn it. Live it. Love it.

    Current tax rates:

10% on taxable income from $0 to $8,925, plus
15% on taxable income over $8,925 to $36,250, plus
25% on taxable income over $36,250 to $87,850, plus
28% on taxable income over $87,850 to $183,250, plus
33% on taxable income over $183,250 to $398,350, plus
35% on taxable income over $398,350 to $400,000, plus
39.6% on taxable income over $400,000.

Bill Moon, the guy who opened the largest truck stop in the U.S. in Walcott, IA thought differently than you Craig and he was proven correct.

He's also the guy who built the business that runs all of the CAT scales you see on the road.

Charging your (not wealthy) customers for the privilege of being your customer is not a smart business model.

and land in Walcott iowa is worth what?
compared to an acre of land in Bordentown nj
but I am not very bright compared to some of these genius's
owning your own business and paying say $30000 in taxes
or buying a new pu every couple of years lowering your tax bracket
I will choose the pu compared to sending it to Washington
Myself I let my accountant tell me when to hold em or fold em
rest of you can go back to fixing the world riding along I80
between Gary In and Joliet Ill
just like the talking heads on CNN

You just keep buying nickels for a dime and then telling the mirror how you're getting ahead Yankee.

Don't let math and logic get in the way of your ego. By the way, you're welcome...

Actually, He is SAVING $3 on an $11 dollar parking spot.

Again, You are trying to argue that the only value of spending the $11 is to gain $3 in tax savings. You are totally dismissing the value of the service provided with the reserved parking. You may not find value in it, but the person paying $11 obviously does.

And you completely lose the argument when you resort to name calling.

Maybe some think the $10-14 is expensive, but is it better to spend a few bucks for a good parking spot then to put yourself in a bad spot and then someone comes and tears your hood off because they can't get by.

Do what you want, I'll spend the money and park in a safe place.
