Yeah, Swift was pretty bad as far as organization goes. Which in turns puts hardships on the driver. I went three weeks with no pay, before I quit.
Does anyone know what terminal he was based out of? His name? Link to an online article about the incident?
Sorry, but when I hear something tragic like that concerning a Swift driver..... I wonder if I knew him. But they do have a very bad turn over rate.

I know the place well. Raised in Fountain. My first job was at "Champlains Truck Stop" (it's name before it was bought out by Tomahawk in the late 1970's) My mother worked there (and the one in Ft Morgan) for 14 years.
That place has never made any improvements since the truck parking was paved in 1969.

Even if they could clean it, would you want to be the one that got assigned that truck....talk about creepy.

Sad story, no matter what company it was...

to be honest i'm more inclined to think that the company did had a signifigant role in this,

being a former member of law enforcment, i've seen my share of suicides, and one thing i have noticed is it is a cowards way out, but 9 times out of 10 they will do it in a manner to send a message to the person that wronged them, or the person they feel has pushed them over the edge... his message was that he did it in his company truck, he wanted to create as much grief for swift over this as he possibly could, and to a large company nothing causes more grief than having to spend a buttload of money on something they shouldnt have to.

the fact that he blew his head off inside the swift truck is basically telling swift the biggest and loudest F U that he possibly could, he just used a shotgun blast to say it.

I don't like condemning anyone or anything on speculation... and we have very few actual facts with which to review this incident. I'm with Burky and those who understand that Swift very well may not have been a factor in this man's choice to take his life.

It's sad. Just plain sad. And my heart goes out to his family and friends.

At least he didn't use his truck as a weapon and kill innocent people on the road to go out in a blaze of glory.

Just because he killed himself in a Swift truck doesn't mean he was sending them any sort of message or a big F U, as stated above.

He spent most of his life in the cab of a truck. It was his home, basically. It just may be where he felt comfortable and where he wanted to end it all.

Suicide is a very personal thing and most people don't desire to take other people out with them or make a big spectacle of it. This guy chose the privacy of his truck and not the inside of a truck stop or other populated area. May have nothing at all to do with Swift.

But people who like to poke fun at Swift will use any reason to do it.

Not true. People who commit suicide do so with the express purpose of punishing someone, either themselves, their family or even their employer.
