So, now brokers are going to get into the CARB enforcement? Is the state of California going to pay brokers a fee to enforce this for them? If this is true, it is time to tell the communists in California to take a flying leap. If they want to enforce these laws, then they need to devote the resources to do it themselves. Brokers are not the police. This is really getting past the point of insanity.Licensed to kill, areelius and BeN DaViS Thank this. -
I was at a shippers today, eavesdropping on a conversation in which a manager was telling someone that as of Jan. 1 they will not load a truck unless it has a CARB certificate.
I have about 3 good reasons for staying in Cali, otherwise I'd be setting up in Idaho right now.areelius Thanks this. -

Yet at the same time enforcement of the carb rule and with this exemption will be that much more difficult. And I expect the problem of having to fight, after the fact, tickets that come from uninformed dot and chp officers. And if the enforcement of the rule falls on the shoulders of shippers/receivers and brokers, under the treat of large fines, will it really be feasible. -
I moved all mine to Vegas. Can't even sell the truck I had retrofitted.
