Glad I found your post tnwildflower because you mention that you might o/o again and mentioned IDC's o/o division and the Lebanon terminal. I spoke with a person today about going there as an o/o and live in Chicago. So, I'm just trying to get a handle on the current status there at IDC and realize things change. I'm leary of the indifferent big company but I'm looking for a solid deal without all the head games and poor treatment that seems to be part of the package. Are you still with them? If yes, what is it about their o/o program that you like?

Hey Freakin, I'm interested in how this gets resolved. I've been thinking of running as an o/o for IDC out of Lebanon and this really doesn't sit well with me. Were the Permit and Citations department blowing you off? I'd appreciate details if you could provide them.

What can you tell us about their o/o program? Are they making money? Competing with company drivers?

Thanks, Could you give me an idea of what your agreement is? Are you getting paid by the mile or percentage? Which do you recommend? What can you tell me about getting started with them?

Do percentage over milage (I have done both).

    Getting started is easy.
    2 day paid orientation.
IDC pays all base plates and permits.
IDC pays your $1,500 escrow account.
    Bobtail insurance is cheap
full coverage insurance is only $2.90 per $1,000 value of yer truck
option: $12.00 a month and all tows are maxed at $500.00 (cant beat that)

If I stated home all week, its only $88.00 a week .. Bobtail, collision, Oregon Workmen's comp and Qualcom.

lawscout, ATX and scottied67 Thank this.

I'm concerned about working for a Big Carrier again--indifference and disrespect was common place. But as I think of it this seems to be a Truck Industry Culture, unfortunate. Anyway, Do you know any o/o's working out of TN?

Honestly, they dont treat us like most big carriers do. I do get treated with respect. But as all big carriers, there are some things ya just cant avoid. But they are minor.

All O/Ops are dispatched out of TN. Regardless where ya run, I do Western 11.
