You didn't do very well in physics did you? Do you know about momentum? MassXMomentum(speed)???
it just takes more momentum to get a truck into the air but when a truck hits something it keeps going, just like a train. More mass then a semi and usually a lower speed but will completely decimate anything in its path.
To add to this, you must not have seen many truck accidents....

What about Farm trucks that run to and from a CO OP that is 10 miles away? They have to have DOT numbers, should they keep a log book? How about myself? The furthest I drive in a truck from the concrete plant I work out of is about 20 miles, should I keep a log? -
What kind of truck? -

The last accident I saw was outside Council Bluffs, IA where a flatbed 18 wheeler ran off the road . It was wet and the wind was heavy. I was on my way to Kansas and the wind was harsh until I was south of KC. Safety is my first priority and the second is the load, which I treat like it is more valuable than my life. The best accident is the one that never happens. I cannot vouch for every other vehicle on the road but I keep my eyes peeled to my surroundings. The pirate (illegal drivers) truckers may not be as attentive. Can we get back on track on the thread topic?
milskired Thanks this. -
Yep it sure does. That truck has a 7.3 in it just like yours and my truck also so only 03 at newest.

Mine is an 03 F-350. I have been through inspection s and passed everytime. I am perfectly legal and if I was not, the DOT would pull me off the road and my truck would be sitting until I was.

Like I said with my first post. I did my homework before I hauled anything one inch. I have the proper authority and drive within my limits and restrictions. I have to show my letter of authority and proof of insurance coverage for any haul I do through a broker. I avoid uship. I learned my lesson well the first time I used uship to book a load. It was posted by the receiver who had not been to the pickup site, had the B/L and refused to send it to me. The pickup site had no turn around, and I ended up losing a ramp in the process. I also had to pass on the haul. Instead of going on the road with some extra money in my pocket, I had to have my family wire money to me so I could finish the run. Lesson learned, do not book through uship. It is full of customers who do not know nor care to know about the business or regulations and those of us who are trying to work honestly get burned in the end. Changes need to be made with uship's business practices or they need to be shut down.
