I applied to Prime and Dustin Hensley is my recruiter. Is he a good recruiter? Any input would be greatly appreciated...TY...

    Hey All,
I also have to thank you recent trainees for posting here. Sure do appreciate it, and it means a hell of a lot to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I don't think I will be able to do the same once I get rolling.
Still waiting on back round check. They are far more thorough than expected. No biggies since all past out in open, but huge issues as far as verifying 25yr long job in just recently. Probably unique situation, but unexpected as it was government position. Go figure...... But, I have to say they are thorough as ####! Keep this in mind, Y'all...... You may have to do some legwork on your own as far as gathering info for them.
It's all good, and I actually prefer seeing that, even with the hassle. Shows me they at least have decent standards. I'm still kind of conflicted on that, though, considering the size of classes they initially bring in.
Still going to wait them out, even with several other offers. Would really prefer to go with them rather than some others, but we will see. Unfortunately time constraints are entering the picture, and may force a decision. But, hopefully it will pan out.

Thanks again to the new trainees coming back in. You little short posts sure encouraged me. You go Guy's! Good Luck. :biggrin_25519:

Have also had opportunity to catch several Prime driver's at local stops. All over 1yr. (& company) , and all deciding to continue on with prime. All universally happy with company. Training experience varied, but all said just stick with it. One said initial trainer was an ###, but did teach him to drive. All said CDL pass is primary and only goal with initial out, as expected. For those ######## about backing and other training with initial out, probably ain't gonna happen, unless time or particular individual trainer can/will provide. That will be done on pads when back before actual test. All universally said, most knowledge (hopefully more than less) will come with TnT in second phase, but most will actually come when being cut loose on own. All seems to jive with everything reported by trainers here, though trainers here seem to be the exception to the rule.
All driver's stressed to ask for another trainer if an absolute bad one received. Long as no bullpuppy ######## and whining has part, but actual problem. Will not be held against you. It sounds like that is the exception, rather than the rule to get someone that bad. The reputable driver's I have spoken to (Prime & others in industry) have said you are 4 of 5 likely to get at least an adequate trainer. This info was same from reputable school (Community College) I can unfortunately not afford. Luckily they offered decent honest advice on companies, even though I am not able to attend the school itself.
Hope the trainers will chime in hear if my observations and collective research is incorrect. And, I REALLY want to hear anything you may want to add. I wish to believe I got the overall gist, but no matter what, I'm still not really going to know until I start. Been waiting a lifetime for this, have had some experience, and can't wait to get rolling. But, no matter..... still some apprehension due to unknown (scare stories impossible to completely block). Can research and talk to people and companies forever and till blue in the face, but will not know until I finally take that step forward. May work out, may not....... But, I want to find out.
