Made to Whirlpool in Tulsa,OK with 30 mins left on the clock, spoke with local dispatch in Joplin, I guess they're handling Oklahoma now, got load that picks up Monday at Whirlpool heading out to Perris,CA for 1419 to start the week off !! This week we finish we 2412 not bad not bad, Have a great weekend !!!

Well my gamble blew up in my face... Instead of getting an unneeded reset and the remaining 500 miles to New Orleans, by relaying in Lancaster I get to sit 30 hours before taking a 200-mile relay to Austin where I'm all but gauranteed to sit another day before getting some crappy Waco run...

Apparently Lancaster is no longer allowed to dispatch -- everything is done out of Joplin (a fact that would have changed my decision to relay)

 

We found out last night that local in Joplin is also dispatching Oklahoma area also, I wonder when they changed everything??

Does anyone know if Conway we reimburse the reserve parking fee at TA's ?? The other night it was the only place to park in La Vergne,TN, if not no biggie. Also if anyone is curious it cost $13 for 24hrs and you don't have to call ahead

 

I do believe they will reimburse you for parking....

 

Sitting at the Flying J in Tulsa,OK and it is packed, no where to park even for a bobtail, I've never seen this place this packed

 

They do. I only do it in cases like yours (at that exact TA in fact)

 

They reimburse for paid parking @ the pilots in Miami aswell

Might try that reserved parking some time.


Thank goodness.... I once stood @ the window for 15 minutes watching the guy at his computer for 15 minutes with no action on the com and not even a slight acknowledgement that I existed.

Those guys are pricks they had it coming.

Fire them and hire a gate guard.
