I writing this to share the experience I have working for CRST. I started working for them early this year. I went to their trucking school and got my license. In a nutshell: working for them was awful. We all understand that team driving means that you are always on the road. Not very often do you have time to take outside of the truck. Before you start driving you know this. But when it comes down to it you really feel that you have absolutely no quality of life. The money you make doesn't make up for all the work you are doing at all. You are in a moving truck basically 20 hours a day stinking your life away with someone you don't even know and you might also not like. For what? A $400 to $500 dollar check? They don't get you home when they promise either. Out of the 4 times we requested home time we made it once on the time we requested. If you don't have anything planned that is ok.
The real issues I had with the company were way worse then the overall driving as a slave experience. I got injured at the job and ever since then no longer able to drive. Obviously they paid some work mans compensation money but overall they try their hardest to pay as little as possible or to be as unfair about is as they can. Due to my injury I will no longer be able to ever drive a truck again. And while I was still seeing doctors they wanted me to come to Iowa and stay in there facility to do office work ( cleaning etc) they wanted me to get on a bus straight away and stay and work there otherwise they would stop paying my benefits. The way they went about this was inhuman. And trust me when you have an bad enough injury the last thing you need is your company working agains you.
all together my advise is to stay away from this company. Work for a company where you drive solo. You will make the same amount of money and you will be happier. They don't care about you and your well being when it comes to anything. They have on reasonable expectations of your driving. If you request to go home and it is not in their convenience they will just not get you a load because they don't care. If its a hot load you just wont shower and brush your teeth is what they expect. Honestly don't do it to yourself.
CRST was a horrible experience

Lmao! Sorry dude but u didn't do an ounce of research on them uh? Hey they got u what u wanted a licence right? Did u read what u signed? And how u gonna go get a paralizing injury pulling a dry van for Gods sake? U think training was gonna be for ever? U think someone was just going to hand u the keys and pay you top dollar? U dont know how to drive!!!
Shaggy Thanks this. -
Take it easy Rage 18.
Driver11, I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. CR England is the worst trucking company to work for. Too many fall for their tricks.
How did you get hurt ? -
Someone needs to say the truth and state the obvious too many people on here don't offer constructive critisism just a lot of oh I feel so bad for you...my comment was to make tje OP think for a minute and hopefully think in any future decision this person is going to make. With that said I hope u recuperate from you injury and get back to work soon.
Shaggy Thanks this. -

CRST = Crappy Recruiters Suckering Trainees.
Kinda says it all. Hope you can find some other work after you recover. Did you do van or flatbed? Flatbed I can see getting hurt but van.......door? dolly legs? tire change? I don't know if they do the last one but with these bottom feeders you never know. -
And you can't get badly injured pulling dry? I know a driver that got hit in the eye by a large jar of pickles a shpr stacked up high in a misc food ld and he lost a eye and had a brain injury to boot. People get serious injury's pulling dry vans every day.
I unlded a ld of tires one day a while back and walking to the office my back popped and down I went . Stuff happens.
And I don't think he is asking for top pay as a new driver. $4-$500 a week driving a cmv in 2013 is crap pay even for a new driver.Trakehner and percussion Thank this. -
A more detailed explanitation of his injury and what happened to cause it would help. I'm quite sure CRST is trying to shaft him, but everyone comes on here saying the big bad company shafted them when they got hurt on the job. The question is how and why did they get hurt, how are they now, ect... It's almost impossible to make an informed post without information. For all we know he got drunk and fell out of the truck, doubt it, but by his post you would never know one way or the other. Information, information, information !!!
The OP may have a legimate complaint, but we will probably never know. Appears to be another amongst the thousands of one post wonders through the years that have came here complaining without any real information .Last edited: Nov 14, 2013
zentrucking, Menehune and Hitman Thank this.
