I forgot to say some things lol. If you do the Purple Power, mix it about 50% strength unless it's real bad then mix it stronger. Put it in a spray bottle to use it and just wipe off with a dry rag.
if you want to clean your own seats and such get one of the Little Green Steam machines (cost about $100 at Walmart). Make sure it heats because it cleans better. I don't recommend their cleaners just because they are so harsh and smell like chemicals. In a punch Purple Power can be used in it but can stain. I used Secret Potion (can buy online and smells good plus safe around pets and kids) whenever I cleaned upholstery or carpets. -
Every time I get into a new, used, truck.. Nothing but Clorox wipes! On the vinyl, plastic and fabric!
and glass cleaner. Chlorox and glass cleaner...

I never get anything dirty, so I don't have to worry about cleaning products.
Well, I do have a bottle of Windex on hand - just in case I don't get enough rain to wash the windows and mirrors off every now and then.
It's hard to believe, I know, but after nearly 3 years I'm finally on my second bottle. -
Aren't the awfully expensive for just normal clean up?
I'd hesitate to use anything Clorox on fabric upholstery. Isn't that pretty strong for a fabric?
You must not drink it very often then. . .
I used to use 409 in the spray bottle and rags on the interior. Febreze sprayed liberally on all fabric. A can or two of a good spray carpet shampoo is kind of a must to have as well. Windex and paper towels on the glass. I found the Rain-X that somebody mentioned to do more in the way of smearing than of cleaning.
I am a cigar smoker, so the Febreze was an absolute necessity. And still folks who don't smoke would complain getting in my truck. Ah well, if they were gonna be in MY truck, they could hold their breath or hang their heads out the window. . .

I never used actual Rain X but the generic kind already mixed. Used that for well over a yr on several hundred trucks with no issue. It does take a lil longer to get clean properly but most my clients preferred it to plain Windex.
Everyone has their own preferences and experiences with products

OK, just to clarify here. Apparently I had a reading comprehension problem. I believe the user that recommended the Rain-x was talking about the stuff you put in your windshield washer reservoir. The stuff that I used and had a problem with is an actual Rain-x glass cleaner, supposedly manufactured just for that purpose. I still have most of a bottle of that crap in my garage. And that I will never buy again.Drivers girl Thanks this.

There is no real fabric in trucks these days. Only polyester.Big Don said: ↑I'd hesitate to use anything Clorox on fabric upholstery. Isn't that pretty strong for a fabric?Click to expand...

for your glass, use any glass cleaner. I like the foamy stuff. A good tip is to clean your windows in the morning when there may be some dew, those bugs come right off rather than fighting them when they're baked on in the afternoon sun.
Now, if you like Rain-X. Save your money and just wax your windows. A good wax and buff and you can drive through a moderate rainfall with no wipers !
