Her post--her original post--wasn't 'despicable' at all, to the extent she wanted to know whether spending over $700 on the road was a lot or too much. The cheap seats responded (as might be expected here) and thread turned into a small dust up. Dinner with hubby at a Petro Iron Skillet would show her what costs run.

Even eating $5 subs at Subway adds up quickly. I'm $5 subs, Iron Skillet and enough canned goods to last at least 3-5 days at all times. It adds up. When I'm tired cappuchinos heavily laced with hazelnut creamers and higher octane coffee run a couple bucks. When I'm really tired, grease helps so chips with cheesy sauce and chili sauce. It works. Dunno why.

The bra clip is something else. Says she has trouble trusting him. It cuts both ways. For the time apart in trucking to work, trust really, really matters. On both sides. Either side that thinks can't trust the other probably already thinking about their options.

Comments from the cheap seats didn't help.

I find THAT borders on despicable.

/Edit to Bergy (msg below): Yes, longterm prospects in doubt. Wonder how many cheap seats already PMd her? Sniff, sniff. Shelly might remove her self-identifying pretty pic...

He is a trucker. She came on the TruckersReport forum to start a thread about not trusting her husband. She says in her original post that she doesn't believe a word he says.

Any guy who would tolerate this behavior needs to turn in his man card.

I give this marriage one more year - and not because of anything hubby is doing. This level of distrust - and public distrust - doesn't result in longterm marriages.

Most of what we were saying was in jest. If you were really paying attention to this thread most of us have stated that it is easy to run up a bill of over $700 in a month while being on the road. While there are some married truckers who quite possibly have "other families" on the road. I personally believe the vast majority do not fall in that category. Truck drivers mostly have a different sense of humor. She thought she saw a red flag and we were trying to calm her down and did use a sense of humor about it. She seems to have acknowledged this. Just lighten up. When you have a spouse or significant other whose job takes them away from home for extended periods of time one's security can get tested. Lighten up, chill out, get a sense of humor, and welcome to the family and world of trucking.

    Well stated, armygatormn.

None of us here have any idea what other "experiences" or other factors are involved with the OP's relationship history, prior to her posting here.
This forum is not "off limits" to her or anyone else that has questions of the nature she asked. As for their trust issue, I'll leave that to them, and them alone.
BTW, as for questioning anyone's "manhood", maybe the fact that we can address her concerns, with some humor also added in, rather than be so wound tight, shows that our manhood is strong, intact, and doing quite well.

    shelly and armygatormn Thank this.

Allow me to clarify what I meant.

The posters poking fun are great. Some of the comments really had me chuckling.

I think those serious posts trying to assist her in "catching" her husband are as classless as the op coming to a trucking forum to bad mouth her trucker husband. Where is the dignity and personal privacy anymore?

Men and women both bring a lot of nonsense to the table, I'm not just picking on the ladies. If I saw a guy braggin in a forum about how oblivious his wife was about all his lot lizard adventures - I'd say something about that as well. I could care less what people do - heck, I'm no saint, but facebook and the like, seems to have taught people that all things in life are to be put out there publicly.

Ok - I gotta go buy more soap for my soap box.

Soapbox's supposed to just rise up underneath you.

    Magic-like.

    No soap needed.
