The hwy 20 truck stop on the west side of town just had a CAT scale put in; I'm not sure of the setup and configuration. The 16th St truck stop by our shop has the same problem that we have on our scale, a sloped approach/departure making split-weighing inaccurate.

Well if you have time, swing by and take a look. as long as the exit is level you can do the spilt weigh.
Just kinda tell them in the inside what you need to do.
If you have a problem call CAT scales on their 800 number in Walcott. Tell them the scale you're at and they can take it over in their office and will run the printer at that locationFire-Man Thanks this. -
Let me explian it a liitle better, pull on the Cat scale. first wigh, then pull up to get the lead axle off the rear platform, Tell them reweigh and then pull the second axle off the platform and do another reweigh
So even if it has a slight pitch it won't affect the rear axles much as the main part of the trk. and trl. will still be on level ground on a full length scale with 3 seperate scales steer drive and trl. sectionsjrscott1970 Thanks this. -
Well...we've put 2 loads on the "new" trailer. First, was a short haul with a 70K lb dump truck. Things worked as well as I could have hoped. 12.5-40-53. Next is a 60K lb feller buncher that will head out to Baltimore after Thanksgiving. 12.5-36-50. Now I just have to do my part and make sure the permits come in as I expected. I have to say...I am enjoying the new challenge. We may need to start pricing some new RGNs. View attachment 58020 View attachment 58021
