2 24' trailers. I can't back them up. Three I won't pull. Can't control that. I drop & hook, on I 10. That's it. Long ago.

Funny you say that. I was just reading an ad for a truck and the seller said:
"Truck runs great with no issues. I wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive straight to the California state line. I don't know if I'd cross it, but I'd definitely drive it to the line and back."
I almost fell out of my chair. hahahaLepton1 Thanks this. -
To deal with that you just need a California plate to put on your truck when you enter the state.

A heavy haul multi axle setup. Each component is considered a trailer according to the DOT regs.

thats my all time favorite trailer...the 2-3-2, IMO The most versatile trailer in heavyhaul.

I say they require drivers to back the doubles/triples at the" skills test--for 100 feet. "then for the drive test , just take them around a 90 degree curb at 55 mph in 10th gear... with the heavier trailer in the back. on a rainy day. while you're drunk on cough syrup. in the middle of the night. wearing sunglasses...?
