I have to agree with you, I ve never run my own truck in NA but I'm willing to bet you won't take home $3500 out of it, that's the most optimistic accounting I've ever seen lol

To take a load from anywhere on the west coast back into FL better pay a ton more then 5K.... Seattle to Miami is 3400 miles that run would cost somebody 7K if you have a good paying load out of southern Florida. If not I don't think anything less then 8500-9K would be worth taking it for. Then again I am not an O/O, just a driver who hopes to one day be one who would not be working for pennies just dollar$.

... Yes if you purchase a good truck, you don't have to worry for any major repairs the next 50 000 miles. If you know how to book your loads, the average per mile will be $1.6 for a dry van 53. That makes $ 0.60 for fuel and a $1 dollar profit per mile. After 26000 miles you paid off your truck, the $23k + registration + cargo insurance, is that simple. This is practical advice from real experience for people who can think freely, not bound by old, nonfunctional, or limiting structures, rules, or practices.

You dreaming, there are not good paying loads coming out of Florida, only $1-1.16 per mile to west coast, you have to go dead head to SC or GA to get a decent load from there... And get real the whole industry is working on a $1 per mile profit only difference with the money is some make more miles than the others....there are not loads for 9k only in your dreams....

Keep your job and hire a good driver and you take the truck when it works for you.

Chinese tires lol, ya that would be good for fuel mileage, lol. And if fuel, insurance and reg were the only expense, we would all be flush with cash!
