Knight Trucking is a joke My son has been driving for them they have been paying him .15 cents a mile they told him he would get .36 cents a mile. His truck broke down they would not let him stay in the drivers lounge to even keep warm.He took his wife on the road with him for six weeks, she bwas sexually harrassed in front of my son by Knight employees. They filed sexual harrassment charges with the company, the company hurriedly lost the complaint. So I guess my son and his wife will have to file sexual harrassment charges against the company in court. The company does not treat their drivers like they are human beings, maybe thhat is why Knights CEO'S compensation went down this year. Anyone that has anything good to say about this company is just ado gooder trying to get an extra??? from the boss

I love these post, pure complaints. While they aren't the best in the world, there are much much worse . I find it hard to believe they were paying him 0.15 a mile.

.15 a mile is hard to believe sexual harassment not so far off. Let's see if he keeps it updated. He's frustrated. But if its one of those creates a profile posts once and is never heard from again yea its probably ########.

.15 in training I could believe...after that .27 sounds about right.

I think they will choose to close than to continue their services.

This is the first I ever heard of a company not letting a driver in the drivers lounge. That's what the lounge is for,to relax while trk is getting worked on.I find that part of the story hard to believe. Then you said your sons wife was being sexually harrassed by knight and with him right there.Tell your son to stop playing you and give you the real truth as to what happened.

I wonder how many new forum members get chased off with these 'doubting Thomas' attitudes? Is this another post pattyj where you can't wait to display knowledge you really don't have---like the thread about Hazmat on flatbed? Did you work for Knight? This is very common practice at Knight terminals--they close the driver lounge for the night and your on your own while your waiting for your truck to get out of the shop--don't dare ask when it will be done--Knight , depending on the terminal, does anything to avoid getting the driver a motel room. Go get a motel room without prior authorization and you will rarely get reimbursed! Again this varies from terminal to terminal ---their slogan 'Your Neighborhood Nationwide Carrier' is true. I had the shop personnel tow my assigned truck out of the shop so I could sleep in an inoperable truck in below freezing weather rather than give me a motel room!

Now that is the kind of information we need. Can you confirm nor deny the .15/mile?

I didn't comment on the mileage pay because I was hired as an experienced driver on the reefer side and made more than that. One thing they never showed during orientation was how to figure out the pay settlement--which when I worked there was only available online. Maybe the OP's son is unaware of the way the per diem is shown and the charge for administration fee for the per diem--just a guess on how the .15/mile figure was arrived at.
