A major trucking company reporting a failed drug screen.

    On April, 2008, I was accepted by a major trucking company and sent a bus ticket to their terminal in Ellenwood, Ga. The first day of orientation, they sent me to Concentra/Urgent Care to take a physical and drug screen. Before I took any test, they sent the shuttle truck to pick me up and told me to find my on way home. They made a report on HireRight-Dac Report that I failed a drug screen. I have since been working with several trucking companies that don't pay well. I finally got in touch with their safety officer and he told me to file a dispute against this company. I did and HireRight contacted me via e-mail and told me my dispute had been settled and an updated copy of my Dac report was being mailed to me. This was on Nov. 08, 2013. I haven't received anything yet and the bad report is still on my record. Violation of company rules. I called Concenta and they have a record of me showing up, but nothing on me in their file. How do I get this issue out of their system and I can get a good paying job??

    Contact HireRight again. Just out of curiosity why did they term you before the drug test was completed.

    I think the thing that bit you was signing in with Concentra and then leaving before you could take the test.
    It would probably have been listed as a refused test.
    Bad timing, though no fault of yours.

    find the lowest dirt bag lawyer you can find and have them file a $5 mill lawsuit against the company for false information and deformation of character. I bet they will be more than happy to change things. Or just file a law suit in small claims for the max amount allowed, that way they can not send an attorney, and will have to send someone from the company to appear in court.

    Maybe i missed something but your story doesn't add up... Company sent you home before your physical and drug test yet they reported you as failed drug test?? I don't understand why you haven't try to raise hell back then?
    In my opinion i think there is more to this story that you don't care to share...

    I think you are right but yes and no. It is all his fault if this was the case.

    Too many take a drug test not seriously. Once you check in you can't leave the room. We had one other member do that. He stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. They could even see him through the glass doors. It was an automatic fail as a refusal. It's in the rules under Part 40 testing procedures.

    If that's the case then you have to follow the return to duty process which mean seeing a Substance Abuse Professional and getting evaluated. If you haven't done that then all them other companies were in violation and could get in trouble. Most companies won't touch you for 7 years.

    This is strange,they fire you before taking the drug test then puts on your dac you failed drug test.Hire Right does have a phone,call them first thing in the morning.
