Did you go with Energy? I'm glad you found a local gig you like. We all end up finding one when kitty calls lol
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Has your trainer showed you the paper clip trick yet ? If you have a hose connection that's leaking a little because it's worn or egged out. Put a paper clip in behind the ear and close the ear on the clip. It will tighten the connection .....
Hope you like working holidays.......... Gas is always buzzy around any holiday .
The only way to roll.
best of luck!

No not yet, Though i'll definitely use that trick if that happens. Im getting the hang of doing everything so far, just trying to get used to the way my trainer does things, get into his routine. I only have 7 more training days with him before Im on my own. Im about 60% sure im ready to go as far as the steps of what to do. Just gotta get the paperwork downThe Challenger Thanks this. -
Are you driving from Hawthorne to Jax everyday, or do they have a yard close to you?
-
They do have a yard in Gainesville, but no open positions there. Once one opens I'll put in a request to transferThe Challenger Thanks this. -

I thought my 60 mile a day commute was bad! Good luck to you, and congrats on being home with family and friends more.

Congrats Dirty! Take your time, find a routine, and stick to it I enjoy hauling gas, yeah working weekends and holidays isn't the greatest, but have to start somewhere. We have guys that run 90 miles each way to drive for us Another trick to leaking hoses is using your bucket to support the weight of the hose. You'll learn tricks to loading/unloading as you gain experience. Are you working for a common carrier or a dedicated?

Congrats, DD! I'm looking at making my last, final, and "this-is-freakin'-my-last-job-before-I-retire-or-die" change after the first of the year, and fuel hauling is one of the avenues I'm looking at. Getting tired of the very cold weather in the midwest the older I get (live in SC), and wife would like me home more....doesn't have to be every day, but more often.
Very happy you found a great gig! Be safe!DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
