So how is everyone doing on the road with their trainers? Be safe and enjoy the ride.

Thats good news, hope racerdad is just as busy as you are. How is your trainer doing with training you? How are the sights on the road?

I should have my hrs before the 28 days is actually up wich is cool, I am getting some good training ,
However I am sitting out of service at a weigh station right now cause of a flat tire .. ugh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It had good pressure when we left and I did my pre trip ..

Oh well life as a trucker I guess. Good news is NO CSA points ..

Yea , I am on a 34 right now . I had 5443 miles as of 2 days ago , but I did 75% of the driving . I got to run the last two loads on my own my trainer didn't drive at all . It gave me a good idea of how to plan my stops for breaks . So I ran hard hard slep then woke up did it all over . I also got to do a 8 , 2 slpit on my logs it gives you about a extra hour if you do it that way .

Do you have a good trainer ?

Good stuff to hear that both of you guys. Im still trying to figure out that 8 and 2 split. Good luck on the rest of your training guys. You guys pass thru nj at all on your travels or have stops in nj?

I'm not learning asmuch as I wish I was. No idea how the 8-2 works, neither does my trainer. I'm his first trainee and he has less than 2 yrs total experience. It's more like having someone look over my shoulder while I figure it all out on my own. We get along fine and I like the guy, just wish he had more answers.

    LINK ... 8:2 split explained.

If he doesn't have the answers to your questions, he needs to find them out... Not only for you, but for himself too! You can always ask on the forum, and get multiple answers... Probably even some you DONT want... LOL!:biggrin_25523:
