I believe you...but how many live-loads/unloads you had? And what was your average length of haul?
ETCH5858 -question for my own curiosity: Are you governed at some mph? is the 57-59 mph cause you run there best for fuel mileage ? At any point does your truck shut down because of road speed ?
My truck is not goverened, I have experimented and have found my best mpg is in the 57-59 mph range.

The biggest mistake drivers on the choice board do is chase the higgest grossing revenue loads. I rarely drive over 2000 miles a week and I net 1400-1600 every week.. I shoot for netting $1 per mile on every settlement. I rarely leave Texas or travel more than 300 miles away from Dallas. Who cares if you go 65 mph and run 3500 miles in a week if you only net $1000. It is all about running smart.

OK good info , i now know you are not butting up against the governor and have full power at the pedal to be used at your discretion.
And yep makes sense to me about running smart for the money and not mileage unless it pays well -(in response to what you posted above).

Yeah i truly understand...honestly i wanna try mileage...it might be a bad decision but i wanna try it first..And by doing mileage i will at least average 68 mph...AND I WILL NOT STOP 6-7 times and pass the same Schneider company driver 5 times lol because thats just wasting fuel

930 LOH, 54 DH, D/H with 20 miles of "hunt the trailer"
750 LHO, 20 DH, live (1.5 hrs.) / drop
204 LOH, 0 DH, D/H
555 LOH, 0 DH, D/H
775 LOH, 85 DH, live / live (3 hrs. total)

674 av. LOH

And ETCH lives in a pretty sweet spot and I believe every word.....in TX you never have to leave the state and you'll make a very good living. Pretty much everywhere else though, you need to run. I'm pretty sure this is my best week miles wise so far; I know revenue wise it is.
Point is, you don't have to drive 65-70 to make miles and money. Better planning and leaving the left door shut works better for me. I roll at 5-6, and stop by sundown.....every day.
One last thing you need to keep in mind, and ETCH will back me up on this; your #1 cost is fuel. when you learn how to manage that, you wull make more money.

My company 2013 Cascadia with 55,000 miles only gets 7mpg. Does your truck have a trip computer setting? You can get a good idea what mpg you are getting for each trip

Aww yeah i agree with that fuel aspect...And yeah the only reason imma try mileage is because Schneider is kinda bogus when it comes to the load board....as a company driver the loads i grab that says 40000-44000 actually be 4000-8500 pounds....i think thats bad business that they are keeping those loads away from O/O..so who knows...they MIGHT keep all of the "high" revenue loads off the boards and stick the lower revenue loads on there

They put in those numbers as placeholders cause they don't have a clue how heavy they really are. Whenever you see 40000 or 30000 even in particular that means that it won't weigh that much.
