    Congratulations, both of you!

When you say "terminal", do you mean West Valley City?
Is the truck still on the wall in the Central Cafe?

    Thank you :)

Yep 'terminal' (when we say it) mean WVC... Kind of like when we say 'the city' we mean San Francisco, since we live in No. Cal.

I don't think I have ever seen a truck on the wall in the cafe... Advertising for Central, yes, but no truck... But then I really haven't been there much THANKFULLY!!

    Wishing everyone a safe Thanksgiving!

I know not everyone will be at home on Thanksgiving Day it's self, but when that happened to us we would take a few and think about thinks we were thankful for any ways...

This Thanksgiving we are able to be at the house for it... But even if we weren't I would be thankful for family, friends, health and hearth.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all :smt049:smt049:smt049

Well we (Matilda) are all decorated for Christmas :D

Trying to upload a picture and TTR isn't letting me upload the file, so you get to use your imagination... We have a cheap fake wreath wrapped in multicolor lights and two candy canes that light up crossed behind it... And our small Christmas tree inside... Tis the season!!

One more loop then our scheduled week off... Matilda will get her fancy snow gear! Can't wait!

Nice. I have a little 12V Christmas tree that plugs in the cigarette lighter I should look for it too. I just did 4000mls on snow and ice covered roads. I only had to chain once when I got stuck in the rest area due to backing my empty trailer into the ditch.:biggrin_2552: Had a great trip going to the Kenai Peninsula, AK from Oregon with 24 palettes of Poinsettias. I feel like a rookie backing up that 379 Pete and I can't see a darn thing in the mirrors besides stacks.:biggrin_25512:

Out east they don't do the chains like NV, CO and CA do... It's called salt and plow or shut it down. We followed that last storm out... Yeah... Reminded me why I don't prefer winter THATS for sure! LOL!

Drove a W9 once. It was the same feeling... Not able to see the sides of the trailer for the sides of the cab... Swapped that one out ASAP! Do you have a choice of trucks? Can you trade out the 379? Do you want to? We like our '12 Cascadia... And she cleans and dresses up pretty ;)

I was just reseated into the 379. I started out with a 387 Peterbilt, but it needs some mechanical help. The main reason I opted to take the 379 was that it is set up for Alaska and I want to run that lane. Also, since it is an 2007 it wont be California legal after the first of the year and I wont be sent South in it to load for Alaska. I will have to get used to it, but with the average length of haul being about 2500mls I wont have to back up to much anymore either. Last night when I got to our terminal I did get out several times to make sure I would not hit anything. We have several parking lots around us with big bright lights and it seems like where ever you look there is another big flood light that blinds you. Also we have way to many trailers stuck in that yard.

Alaska!! I heard tales that it can be a challenge... How is your truck 'set up for it'?
