Help for a new driver wanted

I don't know what it means, but there is a saying in his business- Big Truck=Big Ticket. It ain't gonna be cheap.

 

Don't forget about the repairs to your truck that will be coming out of your pocket (at least the deductible). Lost time while truck is in the shop. And you'll have to go o one of your terminals for a safety meeting and/or retraining, which will most likely be unpaid.

It depends on what company you apply to. Keep your chin up though. Things have a way of working out!

 

If your company terminates you then you are pretty much done for a while.

 

Remember you need enough room to react, and slow down safely, minimum following distance should be 7 to 8 seconds, in heavy traffic not always possible, but I find the best way to handle heavy traffic safely is to anticipate vehicles will be wanting to come in to your lane in front of you, so I always leave a big enough gap to just let them come in, plus extra room to keep a safe following distance once they have entered my lane
