forced hazmat endorsement!?!

so, got a msg on the qc today stating "ALL company drivers will be required to have a hazmat endorsement by 1/31/14. To compensate for the cost the money spent getting your hazmat endorsement we will pay back in Prime bucks, please plan on getting this done on your next hometime."

.........what? So me bein the smart@$$ I am, told my fm uh no, if I wanted one I would've done gotten one. so if that's how it is look for my truck at the yard at the end of January cuz I'll be quitting.
He said getting it would mean more money for me and prime. pfft

 

I think all our drivers already do that. a requirement whwn training is to get a TWiC card and passport. hazmat has been optional till now. in the 2yrs I've been here I can count on one hand all the trucks I've seen hauling hazmat. But to force it on us all the sudden. that ain't kosher
