Well, not long after I said my truck was running well, she put me on the shoulder again. Turbo went out this time. Garland called me asking why I've been in the shop SEVEN times in 3 months. Told him it was various reasons and couldn't be pinpointed to one issue. I've had alternator, oil pressure, coolant leaking and turbo issues. None of those have anything to do with the other.

Anyway, was told there retiring the 9002xx trucks after the new year so I should be getting into a new KW within the next 2 months.

Preplan is still on me for a Monday pickup in Winston-Salem, NC to get a 54,000 banjo going to Houston. Can someone explain what a banjo is in this sense? I've never heard of it before.

    AZS Thanks this.

Good, because I have 900203 with almost 800k miles on it. I have a laundry list of issues too that I'll be going to the shop with after I deliver my load to Austin.

He called YOU asking why it was in the shop so much? Isn't he the supervisor over these things? YOU should be asking HIM. i'm sorry, but from what i've heard about him from several people both in office and in cab... hes an idiot.

Right? He knows why it's in the shop and exactly what they repaired. I think Garland is one of those office guys who doesn't intervene until there's a major issue and passes everything on to the girls in maintenance. He just never rubbed me right.

I'll be glad when I can get more miles with less truck issues. This truck is costing me money at this point.

Is Lone Star still worth coming to? Trying to make my final decision by next week! Are the miles and $$$ still good at LST? I am sked for orientation 1/13/14. Trying to make final decision either on Flatbed LST or Roadrunner Reefer Lease Purchase?

Miles suck right now, but that would be the same with anyone due to Christmas time. Should get better though. As far as being in the shop, The 9002xx trucks are 2007 Peterbilt 379's running close to 800k miles. They are bound to have some issues at that age. I wouldn't do a fleece purchase. Those are totally a scam.
