I had an app in with Melton before I hired on with Nick. Now about every 2-3 weeks I get Melton's pre recorded call telling me how I can make $50k a yr if I come work for them. They have to come up with a lot more then that to get me to quit here. Plus I have it easy here. I can't thank you enough for turning me on to hire with Nick.


Ice and snow.. frozen equipment... it's what we do. Gotta take the bad with the good. I'll never go back to reefer or van as long as I have a choice.

Yep. Exactly why I don't live in Chicago. You guys can keep this mess.

Give me my warm sandy beaches' flip flops, a cooler full of beer and a hammock between 2 palm trees. I could chill like that all day. Hell, I start getting cold when ever it drops below 65-70. I'm a wuss when it comes to freezing cold weather.

Well I came to Melton when the money dried up at Ozark. Wanted to go back with nick but had a bad experience with the fleet owner he had me driving for. Melton pay isn't bad but definitely not the $1600-1800 weeks I had there.

 

He sold the Pete I was in. Want to sell me this Columbia and run under his authority. He only wants $22k for it. Probably take $20k if I was serious. I don't really like this truck. It's not bad.. I just can't stand shifting a 10 spd. Truck has been problem free for the last 3 months I've been in it. I in the market for a truck. Just not this one. I'll probably get serious and buy something next spring or early summer.

I'll let you know before I make the jump and this truck comes available. Not as nice as that T660 but personally I prefer nice big paychecks vs having a shiny new truck. You should talk to him and see if you can work out an agreement to buy this truck. He's offering 85%. All you pay is $200 month for tag, $125 a week to rent his trailer (or buy your own) plus fuel and he will pass along the fuel discounts from flying j and pilots. . Not a bad deal I think. He said his rates are between $2.50 - $3 a mile on average. Definitely has me interested.

Yep. Still dispatching. She does ok by me. I have no complaints.
