You may have mentioned this but ill ask anyway.Where did you meet this lady that's suppose to take you home? What happens if you don't hear back? You're absolutely right, you shouldn't have to be stressing like this. Its not at all fair to you.You was trying to make a living and wanting to be a trk driver and instead you became a victim. Why is it the good ppl are always the real victims and scums like the ones you talked to that night at Navajo nothing happens to them.Life isn't fair.I say also get this company for pain and suffering.Companies do a lot of horrible things to drivers but leaving one stranded is the lowest and should not go ignored.Im glad youre doing alright.Do you have family and friends in Denver? If so what do they have to say about all this?

luvtotruck, I was part of a group in California that recalled an entire City Council, voted in a new council, fired the City Manager, City Clerk, Planner, brought in a new police chief and new city attorney. Lightning does and can strike. Been there.

You'd be surprised how effective a small group of determined people can be where the issues are timely, real and overdue. Ours were. This is.

    And it's not just Pj.

Pj's a good start, I think. We'll see if we can throw some doo-doo into the fan starting tomorrow am.

Yes, I remember them from when I was little. They were and still are one of the only Denver-based trucking companies. And their logo was not of "a decapitated Indian girl;" back then, it was a decapitated Indian boy. lol!

It depends on determination. I remember one afternoon walking into a room where gals were stuffing envelopes. "What if we fail?" I asked.

Closest gal did not stop stuffing, merely looked up and said, "Then we keep on working, Victor." And continued stuffing envelopes. None of the others even spoke. They didn't have to. They were going to keep on no matter.

    Until it was over.

Failure was not an option. We had false starts, 'programs' that failed to get results, our attempt to get fairness in court failed. It became necessary to remove the City Council. So we did.

So then this thread can turn into a thread of how we need to march into Washington D.C. and stomp our feet! I agree but there are not going to be very many who actually see this.

No one authorized my termination until the following morning, and I believe it was the VP of Operations. As I mentioned in an earlier post, this happened at 11 at night, and a night dispatcher, to my knowledge, doesn't have the power to fire drivers. Further, and I know this was total baloney, he refused to put money on my comdata based on "I don't have the authority to do that." He told me to check back in the morning. Right. If he lacked the authority to load a few bucks on my card for shelter, he clearly lacked the authority to fire me.

This brings up another point about Navajo's egregious behavior: I was unable to fall asleep until roughly 3 am, and when I woke up at 10:00 my time, 11:00 Denver time, NAVAJO HAD NOT EVEN CALLED ME. I had to call them to get fired. Where's the compassion?
