You could probably get him to do another video on You Tube. But then we would need it to go Viral, and Fast.

1977 Regular gas-----$1.72/gal
Some of us have seen this before... Look it up and the resulting impact of fuel caps.
You ask what has happened... Well lets see 4 1/2 years of Bush.
4 1/2 Years of war. Minimal increases in the minimum wage. Mortgage company greed. I'm sure I'll think of a few others later. -
We'll How come im not suprized that you DO know who im talking about???? Yes, he really is a TEAMSTER and we all know he DOES have B@lls and is NOT afraid to Speak OUR minds!
NOW, We all need a DATE that we can pass along to other drivers up and down the highways!
XM SAT, RADIO and I'll even call the CLEVELAND,OH FOX NEWS if I have to! No ####!
JULY?
OMG, The 2008 TRUCKERS INDEPENDENCE DAY!
United we stand, Divided we fall! This is OUR COUNTRY!
OUR FOREFATHERS BUILT this Country and we WANT it BACK! -
We are not going to resolve this issue by shutting down our trucks. If we shut down, I guarantee that the government will step in and try to resolve a disaster by allowing Mexican trucks to run the highways.
It's more then Bush and it's more than big business and it's more than Wall Street.
The issue is supply and demand world wide.
We are in a full blown recession, but there is still a demand to manufacture and move the goods that are manufactured. In addition to our economic woes, we are competing on a global scale.
If any of you has noted that China's economy is over-heating and must slow down or it will crash. Once this happens the demand for crude will drop. The prices for crude cannot sustain the upward movement for too much longer. Will we see Diesel drop below $3 a gallon, I doubt it. But the market is set for $3 a gallon diesel base point.
My suggestion is to join O/O organizations to lobby (pressure) for domestic oil exploration. That is something that our country is able to do. But to ask the government to step in and create artificially low prices for fuel will not succeed in the long run. Any time something is subsidized, money must be taken from somewhere else. As in robbing Peter to compensate Paul.
Many are blaming Bush for the economy. Bush is a business man first and foremost. He prefers a Lazier-faire policy in regards to business. How much is this condition Bush's fault and how much is it the natural business cycle running its course?
Do we want government controls?
Government control comes with a huge price tag.
The market tends to equalize itself after awhile. We were fortunate to have good Bull markets in the 90's and from 2003 to last year. But the market continually moves in cycles and this Bear cycle didn't just jump out and surprise everyone. There were signs of the market slow down.
- There are opportunities becoming available even now. Be ready to take advantage of opportunity's
Those of you who have seen me from my first post here know that I am making a transition. My previous business is done, over. I went through all of the stages from anger to grief. The hardest thing I had to do was accept the fact that I couldn't compete anymore. Even if diesel went below $2.75, there were too many people who panicked, cut their rates by more than 50%. Now they'll never get it back up. Contractors rarely ever settle back up after you have negotiated way down.

"Don't panic-use your heads-become educated-become involved-communicate" from ron-mars
i think thats what we are trying to do here, what are your thoughts on how we would best be served in this current predicament?
the non-native trucks thing had crossed my mind but i somehow forgot to include it in my list....canadian and mexican
cyber has stressed runnin legal in the past....has anyone actually stayed with it as of yet??
5 mph below is a good idea, but i see problems with joe-driver not thinking he will make enuff ( 30 miles a day really gonna kill ya?)
and yes i know im not one who should be talkin about daily mileage or slowing down but i can and will if thats what is decieded on...i have already dropped speed hoping for less fuel consumption
so lets discuss and come up with the best plan we can -
Last time I checked we live in a Free Enterprise system.
- Bush is not a Hugo Chavez.
- Bush does not set the price.
-
I thought we were fighting over oil
-
nope...WMD's and removing a dictator
