    It's a Carrier APU
It will NOT run with the Engine Running
The Truck is supposed to Idle at 0f, I found out..but it must not have been turned on in the ECM.

APU did good keeping me Warm with the back curtains closed when I went to bed, but when I woke up it was running and chilly in the back.
Guessing it had trouble keeping up.

Yes it will. There's a plug by the motherboard that if unplugged, can make the unit run while the truck runs. It helps to know that if your AC or heat goes out in the truck itself that you have a back up HVAC unit. :).

    Oh well..
I don't plan on unplugging anything..

Last Company the APU would run with the Truck Running this one it's disabled.

I'm just saying. I've had instances where the AC wouldn't work. Knowing that you can run the APU while driving can be the difference between being comfortable or it being unbearable.

Ok, fyi. -10 degrees last night. Tripac APU that is hooked into truck cooling system. I set thermostat at 68, and went to bed. Espar heater kicked on, kept truck too warm, so I had to set it down to 64. APU kicked on and off 4 or 5 times during the night to warm engine coolant and maybe charge the batteries. Woke up, checked engine coolant temperature and it was at 110. Engine cranked easily.
No need to idle all night at -10.
