Truck Owners ANGRY and Scared Over Fuel Costs

anyone thought of writing a letter to the editor of thier local papers?

it would give them a heads up and maybe get them to pay attention

i am writing one right now

HEY I BET 4 WHEELERS WILL JOIN TOO, IM SURE THERE FED UP WITH THE FUEL PRICES TOO... I KNOW OUT HERE IN CALIFORNIA I HERE PEOPLE BIT#HING ALL THE TIME ABOUT HOW THEY SHOULD STOP BUYING FUEL TOGETHER FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND IT NEVER HAPPENS. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY "PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS FOLLOW A LEADER" MEANING WE AS TRUCK DRIVERS ARE THE LEADERS AND THE 4 WHEELERS WILL FOLLOW IF WE LET THEM KNOW WHERE STRIKING OVER OUTRAGES FUEL PRICES. ITS NOT JUST US PAYING AND HURTING FROM IT THEY CAN FEEL IT TOO, JUST NOT ON THE SAME LEVEL.

IF WE CAN GET 4 WHEELERS TO DO THE SAME AND NOT GO TO WORK THIS WILL WORK GREAT!!

 

To be fair I copied it and sent it to McCain and Hitlary. I'm basically asking for a few words about our plight in a speach somewhere so I don't care where they come from. But I do like Obama

 

this is something everyone can be involved in, not just truckers but 4 wheelers, bicycles you name it, this isnt just a truckers problem, this is a nations problem. our nation was built on fundamentals, one of them being "United we stand" its time to go back to them basic fundamentals.

 

We Need Media And We Need To Say "we Are Not Going Back To Work Until The Outrages Fuel Prices Go Down" We Need To Make It Clear That This Isn't Just About Us! When We Talk To The Media Or 4 Wheelers Ask What We Are Doing Parked On The Highways, We Need To Explain How This Effects Everyone Of Us Whether We Drive A Truck Or Buy Goods At The Store Or Put Fuel In Our Personal Cars, Everybody Needs To Strike To Make It Felt Across The Nation

I will submit a letter to the editor of our small town paper tomorrow, we are on a first name basis with each other here so i will talk to her first and see if she has any ideas as well. She may be interested in viewing this thread as well so i will share the link to this forum with her as well.

 

has by chance an email list been setup? anyway people can add their name and email to a list en mass. that way as things progress mass notifications can be sent? is the email list tied in with the online petition?
