That is why I say transparency on the process and if you decide to pull the load after you know that then it's your own problem. How is that making it har on everyone?
The second point as more of a. You could but it's not necasarily what I would suggest although it's better then caping fuel. Sorry if I didn't explain enough, most people know I'm not real in favor of caps or minimums. I've aid that over and over.

I'll be the first to say that I am as lost as anyone for the "Correct" answer. I'm just throwing out idea's..... good, bad or indifferent. I figure if enough people throw out idea's maybe somewhere we'll screw around and figure something out.

ok.....if fuel prices aren't the problem......

    riddle me this

last april, when fuel was about $2.60 a gallon....we were still hauling for the rates we have had since what...the early 80's? but we were all doin ok, not great but making it

whats fuel gonna be like this april? $4.25 a gallon is a reasonable, although probaly low estimite....but we are still pulling for those 80's rates...

so yes rates are a problem, but if we raise rates, prices for everything we buy will go up and we're right back where we started from, only then prices for every thing will have gone way up.

if we drop fuel demand, prices will still go up....or am i the only one who has noticed that?

oil speculation is cuasing most of the price increase we are seeing, so how do we combat that threat?

fella's , honestly im stumped......for every treatment we see, we find anouther ailment...i have gone over this time and again in my head...we need a permanent fix, not a bandaid

By every one else I meant the rich company owners
I feel strongly that trickle down works
Thats why Reagan has gone down in history as great
Allow the people to micromanage them selves
Give to the poor and they will spend it
Give to the rich and successful and they will grow it and hire more people

Perhaps I have spoke about it more then 5 day ago....

I pretty much summed it up with my last post.. So, there will be no real reason to re post..

I simply disagree with you when you call for "unity".... It's simply not going to happen in the form you propose.. Your not going to convince large corporations to go along with it.. The only unity they have is amongst each other and even then its very little.. Basically comes down to us and them (large corp vs O/O and other drivers) when talking about anything that deals with trucking industry..

Top 100 revenue trucking companies (2003)

Your talking about unity amongst all of these companies without a mandatory regulation... It is just not going to happen...
