Just called on a load to CH Robinson Fromm Goose Creek SC to Avenel NJ (Snow storm plus Holidays season) First they transfered through bunch of wandering goofy kind of attitude people and then Nick 800-846-5001 says it is covered but I have another one 42k aluminum Coil and the rate is $1500. Then he wonders why I needed to get off the phone quickly, and asks do you have to call the driver ?? What an AXX
Here is how the market looks like posting rate 26.2 posts / minute and Total posts 16,332 @ 4.51 loads/ truck, On top of that going north is big time snow.
I will post a you tube version there recording saying you have to work for us really cheap for your cost and then you can see some kind of market rate.
It is clear that that the reason these Axx Ho**s can do this kind of abuse because most of the O/O are poor and uneducated and they buy into what they tell them, The big man is getting help from the behind the seen MAFIA (The Trash industries ) and the poor truckers don't even know how the broker know complete background plus Family history of him??

Let me get this straight... Chr opened with a $1500 offer to go about 750 miles. You flipped out and they are the a-holes? You do know you can negotiate?

Funny thing about chr, it's been my experience that if you are willing to be professional in negotiating they will many times give you a connecting load that gets you in and out of the NE averaging over $2 a mile. Last time I did the final rate came out at $2.40ish per for a dry van.

The industry knows that the rate in the snow storm to the Northeast is not $1500 for 750 loaded miles especially in the Holidays it says in the DAT and talking to other truckers minimum of $2500. What would you gain by wasting your time by negotiating with some one who is totally off the market rates, and totally unfair in their dealings.

atrucker: You and I know that $1500 is cheap for that lane, but Billy Bob's Trucking doesn't care. Billy Bob will haul it for that. CHR is waiting for Billy Bob to call.

incorrect, chr and all brokers HOPE billy bob will call. Just like you HOPE you'll call and a broker will beg you to take an untarped 4k lb beam someplace for $6 a mile. Nothing is wasted by making a counter offer.

We work with CH Robinson a lot and we have worked with Nick (Charleston, SC Branch) many times. He is very professional and most of the time, he is giving us good rates. Even today, we got a load from him, 360 miles for $1200, 5,000lbs. Keep the positive attitude! Helps a lot.

With all due respect, my name is Kalina, not Nick. I just did not like somebody who puts food on my table to be called an #####.

I don't know how many times I've booked loads from CHR where they initially offer some ridiculous, to me, cheap rate.. ..counter with 3 or 4 times that, wait, and end up getting my rate. Of course it only happens one out of 25 times if that. Turn down the other 24 and find someone paying better. And no, my name is not Nick lol. I have worked with that branch before though.
