Full grown at least as far as I've always been told means that the cop car has all the lights and bells and whistles on it!

I'm not sure any of these are used anymore but back in the day, green stamp was a toll road, I'm running the green stamp to Filthadelphia" (Philadelphia) Bikini is south Florida, "I'm heading down to the bikini" Chicken house, is weigh station Locked up referred to a closed weigh station. DOT might still be in the building but had the closed sign out "Locked up, nobody home" is a weigh station closed with the lights out and no DOT vehicle parked by the scale house, so likely closed for the night. "running thru the woods" or "skinny road" is driving on roads other than the interstate like US & state hwys. "I'm running thru the woods" The "big road" is the interstate. "the orange ball" was Union 76 truckstops, "mama" referred to your wife, "loop" is a bypass around a city. "I'm taking the loop" funny book is the log book, also comic book "mash your motor" is like hammer down or go fast "missed me" means the truck passing you is clear ro come back into the right lane, "ok big truck you missed me" greasy referred to slick roads from ice or snow, "heads up southbound it gets greasy at the 34 yardstick" "He must have run out of turn signal fluid" means the driver didnt use his trun signal, "eyeball out" meant you have a headlight out, "driver you have an eyeball out" "I've torn that page out of my atlas" meant driver doesnt go there, like cb talk about NYC, "I've torn that page out of my atlas" and then there were our nicknames for various states, "Keystone" was Pennsylvania, "tarheel" was North Carolina, "peach" was Georgia, "magnolia" was Mississippi, "bama" was Alabama, "lone star" was Texas, "volunteer" was Tennessee, bluegrass was Kentucky, "buckeye" was Ohio, "show me" was Missouri, "big sky" was Montana, "garbage state was New Jeersey. Our nicknames for cities was endless, Boston was "bean town", New York City was " the big apple" or "I aint going there" ), "Queen City was Charlotte & Cincinnatti, "Charleytown was Charleston WV & SC, "Toodle le do" was Toledo, Cleveland was "the mistake by the lake", Erie, PA was "Dreary Erie", Pittsburgh was "steel city", Philadelphia was "brotherly love" or Filthdelphia", Washington DC was "watergate", Atlanta is "Big A", Rincon, Georgia was "stinkin Rinkin", they have a large papermill there and you could smell it miles away. "K town" is Knoxville, TN, "music" or "smashville was Nashville, TN, Kansas City was "bright lights", New Orleans was "superdome" or "Mardi Gras", Houston was "astrodome", Dallas was "big D", San Antonio was "alamo", Flagstaff AZ was "flag", Denver was "mile high", Buffalo, Ny was "the nickle", San Fransico bay area was "the gay bay" and of course Detroit was "motor city" and Chicago was "windy", Louisville, KY was "the derby", Birmingham, AL was "smoke", Tuscaloosa, AL & Tulsa was "T town", Ft Worth was "cowtown", Orlando, FL was "Micky Mouse house", Tampa, FL was "cigar", Milwaukee was "beertown", St Louis was "gateway", Little Rock was "the rock" West Memphis, Arkansas was "that #####*n place") and thats all I can remember :-/ Me thinks I spent way too much time in "that dam truck"

As I recall, as another name for Nashville, we'd say we are running thru the "guitar" that seemed the most common name for that city. Just another wrinkle.

A few more, Fingerprinting a load=Hand unloading a trailer, Tailgating a load=bringing the load back to the rear of the trailer, JawJacker=somebody who talks to much, Kicking a tire=pulling over and relieving yourself, and yes Full Grown means either a DOT Cop or a State Trooper, State Police.....

Choke and Puke=Eating spot/restaurant
On your Donkey=Behind you
10= Use to be 10-4,but that was too wordy
One with a customer=cop writing ticket
That's all I got,other than some I never understood.Took me forever
to figure out wth a chicken house was.Then I put it together after going

what is a cb radio?

Its a Latin term for "communications beacon".
Its that long stick to the right of your knee.
You talk into it by mashing the button down,
and yell really loud into it.To receive transmissions,
you pull button up and yank around on communication beacon.
Eventually you should hear something,sometimes you may be
