I haven't heard anyone say anything against the public. This in my book is about holding our government and our elected officials accountable for the decisions they have made that have put us here and to tell them they must answer to us, there constituants. They seem to have forgotten that so they need to be reminded.

I do believe that one driver had the right answer. Instead of shutting down the highways and pissing off a lot of people the owner opps just needs to shut down in the truck stops untill we get some attention.

Then once we have their attention you could start airing your complaints about the unethical brokers, gouging shippers, etc., etc.

    Just my two cents.

My problem is since the fuel prices are so high, I am just a flat tire from being out of bussiness.

That´s what the trend is over here as we speak...we run 50mph tops nowadays....TO SAVE FUEL.
Russians drive even slower but that´s not for saving fuel only...they are scared to run here because of the weather.

In Denmark 90 truckers stopped on a bridge as a fair warning of drivers working rules and sofort...
It´s all boiling over here already...

I shut down my truck Monday, went to check out another company yesterday to drive their truck, I'm going to have to sell mine. I just can't haul for free. Something really needs to be done about the brokers! I'd love to hear from some of them about why they try to cheat truckers out of their surcharge. I've asked a broker before what the load pays and was told that it was between them and the shipper! Maybe we need to stop using brokers for a week. Of course, if we did it's not really hurting them that bad. I do feel like something should be done about the ones who are still paying us .20 a mile. Did anyone get a response from the emails sent to O'Riely or Fox or CNN? Let's all email them. They should be more concerned over our fuel prices instead of who slept with the NY Governor!

No. They have not. I really don't think anything is going to happen. I do think you wont just park. You'll be forced to park.:biggrin_2552:
